Fresh Champagne Mangoes (Golden Atulfo) - 5 Pounds

I just got my mangoes today..it was packaged well.i took 2 out of the box , washed them and eat. I was really surprised that thay were firm and no bruises.they were sweet as well. will purchase again..Thank you.

This product deserve a zero star. The mangoes were not packed well, it is very expensive, I did not get 5 lbs and most of the mangoes were rotten and really bad.

Not one mango from this shipment was edible. It was very disappointing to see these go to waste, because if they would have gotten to me about 5 days earlier they may have been perfect. But these were spoiled and already started to smell bad.

champagne mangoes also known as Altofo mangoes are for me my favorite food. They have a tart taste that other mangoes don't. I gave one to my boss when asked if she could try it. She thought they were too sour. they are kind of sweet and sour at the same time. They are usually available from March through August, as they are traditionally grown in one area of Mexico. It appears that someone in South America is growing them now too. i got some in the dead of winter that were from Ecuador. Since their seasons are reversed you can sometimes get them in the winter, just not on a regular basis. When i see them, I grab a basket of them because they are absolutely scrumptious.

Very salty and sour , not as described. Don't buy.
