My daughter loves these shoes and we have actually bought them three times (as her feet have grown). The larger round laces allow her to be able to tie her shoes herself. However, she does have to double-knot them as they tend to come untied if she doesn't. The sparkly look make them stylish, they do have a tendency to get dirty quickly as they are white but I do spray them with a stain resistant spray prior to first wear. Overall, they are a great kid shoe for the quality and price!
