Fantastic addition to my spice rack!
Great flavor!I found this treasure over a year ago and have been enjoying it ever since - until I recently ran out. I use it on everything! It's gentle flavor really makes food sparkle and the rich coloring adds a lot of eye-appeal to my dishes. I really love the vintage look of this tin, it takes me back to my mother's kitchen as a kid. It's a wonderful addition to anyone's pantry and I highly recommend you get some!

Love, but have to keep it in the freezer
I absolutely love the rich, smoky flavor of Spanish sweet paprika, and after experimenting with various brands, I’ve found that this particular one offers excellent quality at a great price. The flavor is distinctive and adds a wonderfully authentic taste to a variety of dishes. Whether you’re making Spanish recipes or just looking to add depth to your cooking, this paprika delivers a delicious, satisfying kick without heat, making it a hit with the whole family. However, living in a tropical climate, I do occasionally encounter some pantry challenges—namely, tiny beetles. When I first purchased this paprika, I stored it in my cabinet, only to discover that it had become infested with pantry beetles. These pests are fairly common in my area, so it’s hard to say whether they came from the product or were already in my pantry. I’ve had a similar experience with another brand I bought locally, which makes me think this may be an issue related to the agricultural process of this particular spice. While this might sound off-putting, it’s a common manageable issue where I live. To avoid further problems, I’ve started keeping my, new tin of, paprika in the freezer, and so far, it’s been smooth sailing. The flavor is still as fresh and wonderful as ever!**Pros:**- Rich, smoky flavor that enhances a variety of dishes.- Good value for high-quality paprika.- Works well in a range of recipes from Spanish to everyday cooking, especially roasted potatoes or French fries, meats and casseroles.- great size and value: one tin goes a long way- sweet means not at all hot or spicy, the deep smoky savory smell and flavor of chipotle, without the hotness makes this a hit even with little kids. (Mine loves this on her French fries).**Cons:**- Potential for pantry beetles, especially in tropical climates (storing in the fridge or freezer can help prevent this).- Not 100% certain if the issue originates from the product or environmental factors.

Good for paella
Exactly the brand we used in Seville for a cooking class. It has a smoky aroma and adds a very nice essence to foods. It's really good on deviled eggs. We made paella and the paprika is the main seasoning along with saffron and some rosemary. (The chef told us the Spanish cooks do not use a lot of herbs and spices.) There is a hot version for other recipes. It's also good in barbecue rubs. Paprika is the dried powder of sweet or hot red bell peppers. It adds a subtle flavor. In the case of Hungarian paprika, that paprika is NOT smoked, so don't dump handfuls of this into your goulash. It will overpower it. Pride Of Szeged Paprika Hungarian Sweet is what you want for goulash and chicken paprikas. The can is a shaker with a plastic top which is not the most secure thing I've ever seen. So sadly, though it's very pretty and classic-looking, I'm dumping out the spice into a mason jar and putting the part I don't use into the freezer. This will also keep down any weevils from hatching, which can happen if your spices are not irradiated. (Bug eggs find their way into to dried spices during production--a bug lands and lays eggs, and then later they can hatch, sometimes. Ugly fact, but one way producers avoid this is to irradiate the spices to kill the eggs.) Just freeze it.
