Panther MARINE-55-0030 Swim Platform Motor Bracket

Very well built and finished. Mounted it on an 185 Bayliner I/O with a molded in swim platform to hold a 9.9hp kicker.

I just got through installing it in my 19’ wellcraft boat. It fit perfectly on the swimstep although I had to make an access hole to mount the bolts. It looks well built and will be taking it out soon.It is a little pricy but seems like a good buy.

I bought a 40 foot steel sailboat with a non-working diesel engine and had to sail about 700 NM to get home. Bolting this onto the swim platform saved the day. While still a two-person job of maneuvering the boat with the 15 hp dinghy motor on the stern, we were able to safely get in and out of port. We even motored for about 24 hours during the trip when the wind was light.This bracket is built very well. I plan to keep it on the swim platform for emergencies now that I have a new electric inboard motor installed. The weld quality is superb and the material is thick. The range of adjustment (via the bolt holes) makes it very versatile. I think this bracket will last a long time.

I used this motor mount on the swim deck on the back of the boat. Handles the 30 hp tiller motor no problem. Happy with this product

Easy to install and works well when a swim platform mount is a must. Works as described and easy to follow instructions.

The first one sent to us never arrived. The second one was obviously one that someone had returned. It had several scratches that cut through the powder coating. In the marine environment, that powder coating is essential to helping protect the metal it cover. Installing the item in this condition risks scratching up the finish on the boat and having the now-exposed aluminum corrode due to exposure to the elements.It isn't clear whether someone prior to us returned it because of the same defects or if they caused the above-described damage after mishandling the frame. What is clear is that I purchased what was supposed to be a brand new item and received one that was in a less-than-new condition. If I wanted a used one, I would have purchased a used one and paid the corresponding lower price.
