As someone who has spent my career in healthcare on the payer side, I can say this text perfectly articulates the dynamics of health insurance, which many people, understandably, aren't fully privy to. Health insurance is different than other insurance products and the mindset between healthcare as a public good vs private good come intimately into play. Dr. Pozen and her colleagues illustrate the considerations. Furthermore it is exciting times to get up to speed on not only the politics, but the economics of health care (insurance) during the transition of government administration :)
