Fact Based Book Style Decent History Choices Kindle
Decent all England guidebook. Covers a variety of towns national parks & attractions that are outside the towns as are most of our historic homes etc. they star their favourites . It's got a good neutral fact style. Not too much personal opinion intruding, which is fine for me. I'm interested in the historic sightseeing. I want to know what therer is to visit & what its about & opening info which they do a good job of.The Kindle edition could use being split up into smaller searching chapters. Hence the 4 stars. Seems to cover major & medium history sites & some lesser known sites. Obviously get a region specific book for more detailed sightseeing & restaurants. It mentions or covers my favourite lesser sites not always covered ie Fowey, Cornwall; Berkeley Castle Glos, Igtham Mote Kent in varying amounts. Fowey deserved a bigger section. Gives a decent amount of coverage to major attractions like Blenheim or Chatsworth for an all England guide book. The general England travel & essential info is reasonable. I thought I disagreed with a couple of things but nothing to be concerned about. Definitely worth buying & reading before a trip to England.

An okay guide
This guide covers a lot of areas that other Scotland guidebooks don't (like the Shetlands and the borderlands). But TOO MANY PAGES are dedicated to golf, not enough recommendations for hotels.

Very easy to use
This guide is packed full of the most helpful information. It is so well laid out so it is easy to find what you're looking for. I've found that it contains some tips and information for things sometimes off the beaten track and helps you avoid the worst of the tourist crunches.

hardcopy better than Kindle version, but Kindle version has proven useful
It is just OK. I was hoping it would have the depth of the full Fodors paperback version but it doesn't seem to. A big downside is there is no index for a quick find of Exeter or Falmouth or whatever. The God bits include the maps ... which you can enlarge and really see the city or area, the individual write-up on areas are spot on. The Fodors best are great ideas for things to see. It is also ALOT easier to bring Kindle and have this and other books loaded.

Must have
It's great to have. Have had fun using it to plan. Just hope Covid-19 scare is over by then (August)

not as good as expected
Unfortunately I was too busy and I have missed the return date of this book. It is a very boring book and very confusing as a travel book. Is more like a history book... not enough pictures and information about places to visit. Sadly, I will not use it ...
