THIS is a HAMMER
I got the Sinplex 60, it is fairly heavy. I got it to pound on brick pavers as I reset them. The black head is just right- very firm but gives enough to not damage the pavers. I am reordering the black firm heads with small extensions so the hammer will stand head-end down.. it is easy enough to undo a heavy socket-head bolt and open the cast-iron head and change hammer faces (there are 8-9 types). A point- not all the inside of the iron head is enameled. The bare areas rust easily, so you cannot just hose down the hammer if it has gotten dirty and not have rust inside the iron head. But this whole system is classic, versatile, and very interchangeable. After extensive use. Great tool for pounding pavers! I have ordered the very short handle (labeled 15”, of which about 1-1/2 will be in the iron head, and I’ll put a grip on it. Most-used tool for resetting pavers.Thinking of naming it, though it doesn’t come back when thrown.

Well built
A great hammer. I was going to go with a cheap replacement like I have before but decided to try this one. It is so much better. Feels solid in your hand. Definitely recommend and will buy other sizes of this brand as well.

Great Hammer, inconsistent finish.
The functionality of the hammer is fantastic. Changing the faces is a breeze and the two included faces covers most jobs. However, the handle's finish isn't what I would expect from a company like Halder. There are some grainy bits that ridge up from the handle's clear coat. The hilt of the hammer has a clear coat bump like it wasn't dried properly or over dipped. *Will include photo later*I might exchange it, but I did happen to purchase at a great sale price. Maybe the little inconsistencies are why it was on sale.

Nice weighted mallet - interchangeable inserts
The weight on this mallet is perfect. I got the black rubber and the red plastic inserts. I use it for a lot of different things, most recently the rubber side for putting down a new patio. Works well, and the rubber didn't chip or disfigure.

Great little mallet!
This model has a very nice heft to it. The two faces are great for trim carpentry applications or anywhere you don’t want to damage things you need to pound on. I have not yet needed to replace the faces or the handle but it looks like it would be easy.
