Anchor Hocking Manchester Drinking Glasses Set, 16 oz Tumbler Glasses, Set of 4

I had originally gotten a cheap set of drinking glasses from Wayfair that kept breaking, so when I finally decided to replace what remained of that set, I knew I wanted something sturdy and stylish. I love 1960's - 1970's vintage looking stuff, and these fit the build. Knowing nothing about glassware except that you can drink of it, I found these on Amazon and figured I'd take a chance on them after reading some of the reviews and looking at some of the pictures featured in them. I was not disappointed. What arrived were some stylish glasses that were thick glass and durable. I immediately ran them through the dishwasher (because of manufacturing and shipping germs) and was so pleased that I ordered more that same night. I've had these about 6 months now, and I love them so much. The glass is very thick, so I know I'll have them a long time. They're a bit heavier because of that, but I don't care. I'd rather they be heavier if I know they're going to last. And as far as some of the reviews on here that said they melted, I didn't have that problem. I don't know what kind of lava setting their dishwasher is set to, but I run a Bosch from 1999 that has a stainless steel interior (very good at holding in heat, especially on the heat drying setting). And I've had zero issues in the over-twenty times I've run these glasses through it. They only come out clean and ready for the next use. These are what you want to buy; they're worth every single penny you pay.

These glasses are very sturdy, thick glass. This makes them heavier, but I like a glass that doesn’t feel fragile.

Like them. They are heavy ice tea glasses. We are hard on our glasses and the delicate ones are pretty but fragile. These are pretty enough and we prefer glass over plastic.

This the second time I have bought these glasses. My first set lasted for many years with 3 boys, so I was very pleased with them. The only flaw was, and is the weight: they are considerably heavier than other glasses I have bought. I found, even in my old age, that this flaw is mitigated by the quality. I have not dropped them as much as I feared because the design makes it easier to maintain a good grip. I also like the fact that I can measure the amount in the glass when needed because of the design.My first set was green, and I frankly wish that I had chosen a color this time also. However, it is a pleasure to have a set of glasses that I know will bounce a bit instead of simply smashing into bits. If I live long enough, I'll buy them a third time!

Smaller than I thought but they can still hold quite a bit. And I was wowed with how sophisticated and sturdy they look. 😍

I had a previous set of these glasses that lasted about 20 years. I waited way too long to replace them. They had become badly etched from our water/dishwasher (along with other glassware). But there was nothing wrong with them, otherwise. They are solid, look good and last. I was thrilled to see I could still order them, so I just replaced the previous ones. I must say, the quality has slipped a bit, as other reviewers have called out, the seams in them seem more obvious. However, they all arrived intact (I bought 12) - nothing broken - and had been carefully packed. I was apprehensive about the quality, after reading some of the reviews. But I was delighted to see that they are still (mostly) the same, sturdy, good looking glasses I bought all those years ago. My complaints with them are trivial, good value for the price.

Great glasses. Heavy, easy to hold, and crystal clear. I have had these for decades and was so surprised to see they were still for sale. I had to buy new because my new ice maker would drop and crack rims of fragile glasses. Now my cabinet is filled with them. Great glasses.

These have the really nice looking, solid feel you expect from Anchor Hocking. A little heavy, but not TOO heavy.
