NuvoNuvo 60/4955 One Light Hanging Lantern, UNKNOWN, Bronze/Dark

I purchased a total of nine of these lights - black wall mount version - 6 from Wayfair and 3 from Amazon - I personally installed all of them on our home. We were happy with the overall appearance, and quality, of these lights. I can't give an opinion on how they will hold up to weather over time as it is too early to tell. They are all metal and glass - there are no cheap plastic parts. The included instructions are not very good and are generic in nature. There are no instructions for how to install the glass panels (see below). If you have never installed a light fixture you should probably get someone else to do this for you. A couple of other minor points I will mention:1. The "black finish" is supposed to look "aged or hammered" - they achieve this by painting the parts black and then applying a "splatter coat" of black paint over the top of the base coat to give it an aged / hammered / textured look - but, the actual metal is completely smooth.2. You may find older comments about glass being installed and arriving broken. It appears the new shipping method is to ship without glass installed. The four glass panels have a wavy type appearance - nice looking. There are no instructions for how to install the glass panels. In order to install the panels you have to remove the four screws / mounting tabs and then place glass panels into frame and then reinstall screws / tabs. In order for the glass panels to fit correctly you have to place one side of each panel "behind" the next panel, and the other side of the same panel "in front" of the panel on the other side of it. For example, ff you look down into the unit, the right top edge of a panel should be behind the next panel, and the left top edge should be in front of the other adjoining panel. The small clips are OK, but the panels don't fit 100% tight in all fixtures and there is some "movement" between glass panels.3. I found it easier to separate the two main pieces - the mounting bracket and the four sided bulb holder - to reduce the weight during installation - I installed glass panels first into the square light bulb section... I then held the flat mounting base in my hand and made wiring connections, then I attached mounting base to wall, and then I attached square bulb holder to base.4. I had to gently "bend" or "straighten" a number of pieces on each fixture so that every section of each fixture looked perfectly straight - I had to do this so that the wall mount section was perfectly level, as well as the square bulb holder section, and the actual female bulb socket. I was trying to achieve perfectly vertical lines on the mounting base, square bulb holder, and actual light bulb - and had to gently bend all of them to get parallel vertical lines with all pieces and the light bulb

nice, but way overpriced. I should have returned it.

We’ve had these a few months now (over six months) and so far they work great and powered through a ridiculously snowy MN winter no problem! They were relatively easy for my husband to install, only difficult part was working with the siding (ours was cut for our previous light fixtures so we kind of had to rig these a bit so they worked where our old lights were)As far as quality and finish- you get what you pay for. These are pretty cheaply made, out of what appears to be orangish/ rust colored aluminum with a oil rubbed bronze finish painted over it, to give it its finish. They look just fine from a distance, it’s just when you’re looking at them up close that you can tell they’re not super high quality. Ours are pretty well covered by our roof line and also don’t get any direct sunlight so I’m not too worried about them fading or rusting anytime soon, otherwise I’d probably spend a little more on something more durable and higher quality.Overall, they are serving their purpose just fine and look great on our house.

I love the price and the lanterns. I ordered two, just arrived. I hate the packaging because it disrespects the product and the customer. Surprised to find that the wrapping around the lantern was thinner than grocery plastic bags which seems strange. Even in the supermarket, it you purchased anything glass, the store clerk would wrap the item in paper for you to carry it home. There was a lot of jiggle room within the box for the cardboard surrounding it making the attempt ineffective. This was knowingly packaged in thin plastic without fragile markings on the box by Amazon Prime and transported. The contractors are here waiting to install it while doing other jobs. Two glass inserts were broken on one lantern the other one was intact. I will check now with customer service and see what's next. Stay tuned. Received yesterday. Electrician who is installing just called me at work. I have it installed but unwrapped one of the panels of glass to install but is broken in 3 pieces. I now have to pay for his time.Can you please send me another pane of glass so I do not have to have to pay him to remove. Have wire hanging and repay this man to install. Very disappointed right now. The light looks great and it was easy to install. I think based on many reviews about broken glass, the glass now comes packaged and you insert it yourself. This would have been easy if there had been any directions. You have to unscrew the top portion and insert the glass that way. I ended up chipping a corner trying to get the glass in there but you can't see the chip once installed. That was definitely frustrating. All in all I would recommend this lamp because it does look great.

Sturdy, attractive and, while not what one would expect in a higher price range, it's more than adequate for our budget.

Light arrived quickly and perfectly packaged. Other reviews mentioned broken glass panels, but the manufacturer must have learned from this because the glass was securely packaged separately from the lantern - just unscrew the top and insert the panels when ready. It looks exactly as it appears and is a incredible value for the cost. Customer service from Lighting Front was also fantastic as I decided to change from the bronze to the black lantern after the order was placed and they were quickly responded to my request and were able to accommodate it.
