My issue is not cleaning fingerprints and streaks. I'm trying to clean dried spills from my dishwasher. Will this actually clean, or just polish?

It cleans and polishes very well but I am not sure of the end result for dried on stains. My experience with this product was it did a far better job then any other stainless steel product I have ever tried. I hope this helps you.

This product is not abrasive so it will not remove rust.

can this be used to clean laminate countrrtop?

I wouldn’t, the can says for stainless steel surfaces, it may be too strong for laminate. I would use a sponge, warm water and some dish soap to clean/scrub it off. You can sprinkle a bit of baking soda on stubborn stains and scrub with the sponge. When done, rinse well with warm water & sponge. Then you can mix 2 cups water with one tablespoon vinegar, spray it on and let sit for 2-3 min then rinse and buff for a shine. Good luck!
