Great reference book for anyone that enjoys experiencing the magnificent California Coast, whether be foot, kayak, or boat. Excellent maps and photos.

Limited info per park, yet very helpful. Too bad so much od CA beach parks are state run & impossible to reserve.

I like this book but there are drawbacks. Unbelievably there are no websites listed! Seriously, like I am going to pick up a telephone and ask about camping rates, accessibility or hours. But this book is packed with information on beach access and lots of other info. Glad I bought it.

This book, published in 2014 by the California Coastal Commission, offers the very latest and most up-to-date information on just about every mile of the California coast. Campgrounds, coastal trails, dog-friendly, visitor center and parking are among the many categories of information that is shown for each location. And, the maps are in full color, and there are lots of great photos. If you want to explore the coast of California, then "Don't leave home without it'.

This book published by the California Coastal Commission is the best access guide to the Pacific Ocean. This information is difficult from other sources including electronic guides. In spite of legal mandate for access, locals often resist.

This is by far the best coastal access guide for california ever published. Every square mile in detail. I've bought a new guide everytime it's been published since it came out.
