Janlynn Winter Birds Cross Stitch Supplies, Multi-Colored

Having to wash and dry thread before using. Required to use masking tape on edges of fabric to keep from fraying. Fabric too thin and too narrow. No hoop included. Cheap looking frames.

I saw this several years ago and failed to purchase it at the time. Then, I looked for it periodically and never could find it until now. I was very happy to receive it! Now I need to order some extra hours in the day to work on it!

Purchased as a gift for elderly relative. They love doing this and helps keep them active. Seemed to include what you needed to finish the project . They loved it

The birds are smaller than I expected, so some of the areas to embroider may be very difficult to stitch. It requires figuring out which numbered color to use in one tiny area very close to another tiny that uses a different color. I did not like the way the floss. It came on cardboard with holes into which each different color floss was draped. The cardboard had the number of the color next to each hole. All birds were on one piece of cloth, and it recommended that the edges be stitched to prevent raveling. All in all, I was disappointed in the kit.

Everything that came in this kit was extremely poor quality. The only reason I didn’t return it was because I loved the pattern. The floss that came with this kit was impossible to work with - it was basically thread. I actually had to go buy higher quality floss in the correct colors because I was so frustrated. Additionally, the colors were not representative of the pictures that represented this kit. I changed quite a few colors because the ones suggested just looked awful. The fabric that the print came with was thin and transparent, and the frames were cheap and one of them actually cracked. I will not be purchasing from this company again. Everything in the kit was poorer quality than represented, and impossible to work with.

This is the second set of bird that I have bought. I bought a similar kit with different bird and loved it so I had to buy another set !

1) the birds are adorable!!2) fabric is very thin!!3) directions not for the faint of heart!!4) do not like having to carefully cover the sewing lines so the blue doesn't show!! Think I will outline most of the leaves and whatever needs attention.5) the size is perfectJust too many negatives; having to wash the thread, etc. Thought the negative reviews couldn't be THAT bad but I was desperate. If I were not an experienced sewer and can improvise, I probably would have returned the kit. I wish the pattern was available and I could then choose colors and fabric!

It's good and all but the colours are off and there is not enough explanation for beginners
