I am a watch collector and I really appreciate analog watches, but I do love a quartz digital for casual and work wear. The 5610 is by far the greatest digital watch ever made and arguably the greatest watch of ANY kind.It's small (by G-Shock standards) and so light you barely know it's there. It has nearly every conceivable useful digital watch feature--alarm, timer, stopwatch, etc. But I was specifically interested in the solar charging and world timer functionality, which let's you store 5 zones at a time. I love that in world timer mode, it keeps home time on the same screen so you always know what time it is at home at a glance when out of town.Given all of these features, they could have made it confusing to use, not the controls are very intuitive and based on the same wonderful Casio button functionality. And, it's a G-Shock, so it's basically indestructible.I gave it 5 stars because I couldn't give it 6.

Watch shipped USPS from a few cities away , technically arrived same day. Fast is good but I prefer Amazon to deliver as USPS is rough on all of my packages. Watch box was hastily shipped in a white plastic bag with ZERO protection and arrived with clear damage to box. Luckily no damage to watch. The hang tag was not attached to band, no sticker on back of watch, and it was already set up for my time zone. Leads me to believe it was a returned item.The watch itself is in new condition. It is much smaller than I expected compared to my other G-Shock watches.Not feminine small but small. I do like it though and it is very low key and very comfortable. Easy to read for my 50 something old eyes. Adjusted settings to my preferences by watching Watchgeeks video on YouTube as I don’t like Casio instruction manuals. Happy with watch. I had the original in the early eighties and I was feeling nostalgic so ordered it.Except for packaging and USPS being carrier it’s all good.

I am a watch collector. I have about 50 watches - of all different sorts: automatic, quartz, analog, digital, high-end (luxury - like omega) and low-end (timex).This watch is hands-down the best watch in my collection. Sure I wouldn’t wear it with a suit. But in literally every other occasion this watch is perfect. It’s always accurate to the second - you never have to set it. And it syncs really well with atomic time (here in the US and in the UK from my experience). Also the world time feature is perfect when traveling - simply push the top two buttons in world time mode to switch the new time zone to your current time zone.Its button configuration is perfect compared to other digital watches. And the battery will last basically indefinitely. Perhaps you might need to add a new solar powered watch battery replacement once in your lifetime if the battery stops taking any charge.The stopwatch and timer are useful for me daily. And the hourly signal on the alarm mode is great when you want to be more mindful of the time.Sure Casio makes other similarly functioned watches that are just as fun. But I think where this reigns supreme over those is its classic design, perfect functionality and button layout, and its size. And it beats a smart watch in terms of battery life, durability, and reliability. I promise you won’t dislike this watch - unless you think the design is ugly… which I understand if you do. But give it a chance and you might discover the joy and security this watch gives me.
