Wow! I bought this 1949 ford custom tudor coupe with a 351 cleveland and i was having problems with slow cranking. It was heat from the headers , everyone kept telling me it was a timing problem. I installed this mini starter and the car cranks fast and does so every time. So happy I purchased this starter.

Site said it fit my truck, when it didn't instructions said needed spacer, got it installed starter ( first time ever had to use spacer on a ford.) IT WORKED FOR 3 STARTS AND MADE LOUD BANG WHEN SHUT OFF TRUCK AND IT WAS DONE FOR. Had to get truck going, got one from local parts house. Found out manual and automatic take different starter. Can get refund because had to used for core charge and old starter was 100's miles away, and the old starter was gone when got back.

So far so good, direct replacement for my 351w block (stroked to 427). Compression ratio is around 11:1, this starter is much better than the old tired stock starter that was grinding with the flywheel. Its got good distance from the headers too, not worried about heat soak.

65 mustang had an issue with the starter not catching the flywheel. This starter, being a bit more expensive than I'd typically pay for a starter, turned her over no sweat. Well worth the long term investment.

La pude adaptar a una f150 1991, ya que aunque tiene un diente más el bendix, si sirve para adaptarla, lo que si tuve que comprar 3 adaptadores de altura dorman para que diera el espacio y trabaje sin problemas.

Seems to be a quality product. Fit on a Ford Windsor small block stroker with a 157t flywheel. Turns strong and fully engages. Shipping was a little slower than promised, but still inside a week. Good price as getting one out of the states is $200 US.
