The quality of this beach chair is incredible. Nothing really to assemble. The wood is sturdy and dense. The wooden sling is comfortable. Can't wait to show it off at the pool.

Love it! Save a lot of space. It's made with solid wood and easy to fold. I added a cushion on it and that made it even more comfortable. Just one down side for me, the wood has no coating so I had to put a clear coating on it.

I was in the market for a set of 5 lounge chairs to take advantage of a nice stone patio at my beach house. To be safe (and because the reviews for the product were mixed) I ordered a single chair to test. As it turns out that was a wise decision. To start, the chair is sturdy and well made. Assembly was rather easy (need a screw driver) although I had to drill a missing hole. But the real issue with the chair is the design. The issue lies in the angle of the chair. It is tilted way to far back so that if you want to stare off at the sky it is perfect. But for having a conversation around a fire pit it is a total disaster. Because I'm handy I will end up modifying the angle of the chair myself but it will require me to put in a few hours one weekend. Once it is fixed I will also have to resort to a pillow because the slats are a bit hard as well. Nice concept and decent materials but bad execution on this item!

OK, this is a nice chair, both in style and comfort. I was surprised, however, by how low it is to the ground. Your bottom hangs about 8" from the soil in this well-reclined chair. You will not be able to sit up straight, but must lean back at quite a tilt. That said, I find the chair very comfortable for reclining and getting some sun. The back slats are suspended like those on a rope bridge and conform to one's contours nicely. Some assembly required to add the blocks of wood that keep you from chopping off your fingers when you try to climb out of it. These are not in the picture, but I felt they didn't adversely affect the chair's appearance to any great degree. UPDATE This chair has broken of its own accord, and my rating has dropped accordingly.

The ONLY reasons I did not give this product 5 stars is1) The comfort will be one to get adjusted to since I have never sat in one of these before.2) The sturdiness is more of a personal concerned, again because I have never had one of these. I am just not sure how long wood slats can hold the weight of a human body...but I just had to have one.The wood does seem to be quality, so it may be an unreasonable concern of mine. I love the chair and I am so excited that it came completely put together. All I had to do was unpackage and unfold. LOVELY stained color too!!

It's made of Teak and from what I've read Teak is rare now. and all comes from Burma which is in a protracted civil war. It's low to the ground and isn't easy to get in and out of unless you're light and nimble.Once you're in it's quite comfy and you'll be looking at the sky. I think it might be ideal for relaxing at the beach. You can use a cushion to get more upright.

It looks perfect in my balcony. I will be able to easily fold and store when winter comes. I was very pleased when I received. I was a little skeptical cause of the price but very happy now!
