Terry's Chocolate Orange 5.53oz Pack of Three

I buy these all the time. It’s one of my absolute favorite sweets. In fact, probably my all time favorite. The only one I like more is the strawberry chocolate orange that used to be made by Brach’s but seems to no longer be available anywhere. No other company makes them and I haven’t been able to find them in a long time. It used to be sold in stores as a Valentine’s Day thing but it’s been years since Ive seen one in a store. I used to buy them on Amazon for awhile but even that eventually stopped being an option. Really sad but what can you do? 🤷🏻Anyway, I give this 4 stars mainly based on two things: taste and price. I know there are several brands that make these chocolate oranges and I have tried quite a few of them. I recently ordered a package of Brach’s milk chocolate oranges after not having Brach’s for a very long time (as I usually go for Terry’s due to price). I had high expectations because I remember it being the best (or maybe it’s just because I love their strawberry one so much and this distorted my memory of the regular one). It being more expensive may also give the impression that it’s better quality. I don’t know if I just got a bad batch or what happened, but it was so underwhelming and incredibly disappointing. The orange flavor simply wasn’t there. My son and I both tried it and it just tastes like milk chocolate with a slight barely detectable flavor of something that might be trying to be orange but fails miserably at it. I eventually just requested a refund because the price I paid was ludicrous for something that doesn’t deliver. It was pretty bad.Like I said, I’ve been buying Terrys milk chocolate oranges a lot more because it’s cheaper and tastes great. I was actually surprised though when I compared the two because Terry’s is much more delicious if you enjoy the orange flavor. And if you don’t, well, why are you looking at reviews for a chocolate orange when you could just buy regular plain chocolate? Right. So yeah. If you want a good chocolate orange, Terry’s milk chocolate orange actually tastes better and costs less than Brach’s milk chocolate orange, at least as far as my most recent experience has been. I may have to try it again if the price of the. Brach’s ever goes down. For now, I’ll just stick with these; unless Brach’s (or someone else *hint to Terry’s*) brings back the delicious strawberry flavored chocolate orange. It is divine! But I digress.I do want to say though that while this tastes great, it sometimes leaves a weird aftertaste in my mouth. But not always so idk if it depends where it comes from, the age of the chocolate, or some other reason. It’s not bad enough to turn me off of them though so I still think that Terry’s makes the best milk chocolate oranges of all the ones I’ve tried thus far. I just ordered a white chocolate orange to try (I think Terry’s is the only one that makes the white one and I’ve never had it before). I’ll review that when it arrives. I did pay $10 and change for just one of those and that’s insane but I had to try it.And while we are on the topic, the one major downside to these chocolate oranges as a whole is the price. Since these are a seasonal item where I live, they’re only available in stores during Christmas. But they go for $2-3 per orange at Walmart and sometimes can be found at other places. But if it’s not Christmas time, I cannot find them in any store. And the lowest price I think I’ve seen for a single chocolate orange online is $10; though you can often get them slightly cheaper if you buy in packages of two or more. You definitely have to pay attention to the prices though because you don’t always get a better price with a larger pack. Sometimes the pack of 6 is a better value than the pack of 12. For example, I have seen a 12 pack that costs 4 times the price per unit than a 6 pack. Sometimes you can actually get a better deal buying say two 4 packs instead of one 6 pack (meaning the total price is cheaper and you get more). Note: these are just examples and the numbers might be different but you get the point. The prices jump around and change often so I suggest paying attention to that and looking at different sellers and different packages to find the best value (most sellers provide a price per oz so you can compare them to find the cheapest option). Just know that you’ll always be paying much more than the actual retail price, even when buying in bulk ($5-6 per orange if you buy more than one and more if you only want one). But if you love these chocolates and can’t find them anywhere else, all you can really do is search around for the best price. Good luck. And enjoy.

Always buy it from a European supplier so that doesn’t have the chemical additive PGRP. PGRP is a chemical that’s dangerous to the human body and mimics the taste of chocolate so they don’t have to put in real chocolate.When you buy it from a European supplier with no PGRP it is a wonderful, delicious experience in chocolate!

It came a bit melted but just put it in the fridge and problem solved. They taste great i love them

I am not a fan of dark chocolate but in this case their dark chocolate is a perfect match for the orange flavor.I wish American chocolate could be as good as this.

Ich hatte wirklich Bedenken, wegen manch schlechten Bewertungen und Fotos mit angelaufener Schokolade, aber alles gut. Ok, die Verpackung ist leichtsinnig, nur eine Papiertüte, aber trotzdem kam es gut an. Und das Wichtigste: Schokolade nicht angelaufen, nicht abgelaufen und sehr lecker! Superpreis! MHD EndeApril 24, also noch über 6Monate.
