Rick's Picks Phat Beets, Aromatic Pickled Beets, 15 oz

My holistic doctor suggested beets. I normally don't like beets because they just taste like dirt to me. As these are flavored I didn't have the dirt taste. It tasted like...ginger with a strong-ish clove after taste. I normally don't like clove, but this wasn't too bad. The jar recommends pairing it with a particular cheese. I could see how this would be a good combination and I would recommend it. If it was $5 instead of $10, I would buy again. It seems to me there was maybe at most one beet in that jar and this is a bit pricy for me to frequently eat.

Good quality product, and I would give five stars, but they are expensive, and I did not like the spices they added, especially the cloves. But others might be fine with the taste.

I really didn't like the flavor and they have a brown color. My BF likes them enough but I won't ever buy them again.

I love these beets! Couldn't stop myself and almost ate the whole jar at once. I'm a beet fan but these are better than anything I've ever had before. Now if only Rick would start making his products in organic, I'd buy them in bulk! I try to avoid conventionally grown food whenever possible and look for organic first. C'mon Rick, let's have some Phat Beets and Mean Beans in organic, please! Yum!

I LOVE beets, lemons, and ginger and am always looking for lower sodium options with my food in general. While pricey, this is a delicious treat. If you are not a fan of spicy and sour (i.e. strong lemon and ginger flavors) you probably won't enjoy this, but if you are-this is worth a try.

Not the best taste. Maybe I’m just used to old fashioned pickled beets but these were pretty disappointing. Easy enough to make my own from canned beets so i probably won’t buy these again.

This is a quality product with quality ingredients but it didn’t taste like the pickled beats I was craving. They’re more vinegary than I expected. I wanted to like them because they weren’t cheap and pickled beats are a favorite of mine, but I could only eat one and after months of hanging onto them they finally got tossed.
