Extra protection - We count on Prolong
We have used prolong for the last 15 years in all of our vehicles. We run it in all of our company Tundras, our boats, the track cars and our personal vehicles. We lost oil in one of our track vehicles about 8 years ago and were able to finish the lap and get the car into the pit with no damage. We attribute this to Prolong. We use Prolong on every other oil change and use Mobil 1 on all the company vehicles and fleet vehicles and Royal purple on all the track cars and boats. We change the pile at 5000 miles religiously. We have Tundras with over 250k miles of which at least 200k miles are pulling trailers loaded daily with 5000-10k pounds.Synthetic oil and Prolong keeps us running.

Really Protects Your Engine
I have been using Prolong in my 7.3 Power Stroke Diesel since it had 30,000 miles on the engine. I currently have 450,000 miles on the engine and it still is running strong. I believe that it has helped save my engine when I couldn't afford to fix some oil leaks in a timely fashion. I have had my crank seal and oil cooler give out on my engine and my oil level got below the "safe" level a couple of times before I added oil. Despite this abuse my engine is still running strong. Using prolong is just part of a regiment that will keep your engine running for a long time. For the first 150,000 miles I changed the oil and filter every 3,000 miles. After that I started using the K&N brand of oil filter and changed the oil every 5,000 miles. I went to the K&N filter because it filters down to 10 microns, where the average filter only filters down to 30 microns. Also, it is important to use oil that is appropriate for your engine. Since my engine was built in 2000, it requires more anti-wear metals that are not found in modern oils. Since I had just realized that fact, I believe that the Prolong has protected my engine despite the fact that the oil I was using did not have the anti-wear metals in the oil. Despite this fact, my mechanic said that my turbocharger was tight and had no play what so ever. He was amazed by the fact that I have 450,000 miles on the engine.Even though Prolong says it won't warranty any engine that is used for commercial purposes or if the vehicle has been modified, don't be alarmed. I use my 4X4 van as a delivery vehicle and I have 37" Dick Cepek Fun Country II radials. The van empty weighs in at 7,500 pounds and I expect to get more than a million miles out of my engine. I just recently put a new high-volume high pressure oil pump, performance injectors, and a 6 position chip into my van. It also has a 4 inch exhaust and K&N Air Filter cartridges. The vehicle has tons of power and gets great fuel economy.

Been using it since 2001 and accidentally put it to the test.
I’ve been using this lubricant since a mechanic recommended it to me. Was not too sure how much of a good job it did except that it made my engine run smoother until today. When I bought an oil filter for my car I didn’t realize it was the incorrect one since it was very similar in dimensions so after installing I didn’t notice any issues until 4 days later. I woke up this morning and headed to work and started seeing my oil pressure drop and eventually after a couple miles headed back home since the oil pan light was flickering off and on. I get home and see a huge oil spill (it was dark and raining so I didn’t notice as I drove away ) in my driveway. I open the hood and no oil, my heart broke because I baby this car. I replaced the oil filter and that’s when I realized it was the incorrect one after comparing it with the new one. Anyhow, the car turned on like nothing after adding oil and the correct filter. I’ve been driving it around and drives very smoothly with 185,000 miles. I truly do believe the engine did not overheat nor it was damaged. I believe it is a result of constant use of this lubricant that bonded to the metal and prevented major damage. I would recommend it to anyone that plans to keep the car long term.

Best engine treatment ever made
I have used this treatment since the 1980's. Engines run smoother. Protects them in case of overheating that can damage your engine. I had a bypass water hose break at 70mph. Temp went so high it shutdown an I coasted to a stop. Opened the hood and smoke was pulsing out around my valve covers. I had never seen a engine that hot before. After changing oil, filter and hose and added prolube and antifreeze. I drove off. This was in the 80's. I believe it was my prolube that had coated my engine parts that protected them from damage.
