Great for larger families
Update..... As this Crockpot is so good it is now in use in East Africa. Although I don't have that one here now I have bought another one for our home in the UK. The 4.7lt Crockpot is large enough to hole a whole small chicken or a medium sized one if portioned. The first one I bought is now used for local East African dishes and it works really well. The replacement has so far only been used for a beef casserole and a 1.5kb joint of Silverside beef. The bef cooks so well that it can easily be shredded in the same way as pulled pork. When cooked, the beef in the casserole simply melted in the mouth so it didn't have to be chewed. With the Silverside beef joint I also added some large potatoes, halved, whole carrots and 1/2 parsnips and all cooked very well. Apart from cooking well this Crockpot can keep food nice and warm for days if need be and at little cost. It is very energy efficient thus producing enough food for at least six people it saves money when comared with using a hob and fast cooking in a pan. Now we have two Crockpots I do plan to buy more of them for gifting to others as apart from cooking well, saving energy costs, this Crockpot makes for very tasty dishes. I bought this Crockpot when it was on offer as it didn't cost much more to get the largest size even though the smaller one would have been large enough. The thing with this product is that after carefully considering some other similar products this soon became my first option. The reason this beat other products wasn't just the volume but more about reliability. Some similar products I would have seriously considered a decade ago, when the brands were well known for quality and reliability but today those same brands have become known for poor quality and being unreliable and yet still at a premium price. This Crockpot is great for larger families as it can easily cook enough food to feed six people and with a generous portion. So far I have used this for producing a beef dish and as one of my images shows a chicken casserole and both have cooked well and have been flavoursome. Obviously the taste of food is more down to the ingredients and seasonings but by cooking in this product the flavour is sealed in so the food tastes as it should. Now is a good time to invest in this product as compared to cooking on a stove, even my very energy efficient one, this Crockpot is both an energy and a money saver. To get the best from this one can cook a full pot and store some of the food in the fridge for reheating later. If you don't already have one I would advise that you invest in a good Seal and Vacuum, with plenty of spare bags and / or bag rolls. When the food has been cooked in this Crockpot one can simply put the leftovers into a bag, vacuum and seal it so the freshness is retained and it can be stored in the fridge or freezer for a later date. The Crockpot has two heat settings and a warm setting. Basically, what I do is use the high heat setting to bring the internal temperature up then reduce it to the lower setting. What I like about this is that the heat setting can be changed at any time without having to recalculate and resetting the timer of which some similar products require. That is another reason why I chose this, with other products the heat setting cancels the timer out so one has to remember how far in the cooking process the product is and then reset the timer for the remaining time. With this one simply presses the other heat setting and the timer remains whilst the heat setting changes. One thing to note about this product is that it is heavy but that is not an issue as one would expect a fair bit of weight with this. The inner pot is removable and so easy to clean. One should not use any scourers to clean the pot as that is both unnecessary and can damage the none stick capability thus reducing the lifespan of the product. All one needs to clean the inner pot is a little detergent (washing up liquid) and a cloth. Simply run the cloth around the inside then rinse. I am recommending this Crockpot and although it does say the large one can cook enough for five people it can actually cook enough for six or more. If one is having a side dish with what has been cooked in this Crockpot then one can easily expect eight portions. This is a very good quality product that is built to last a long time and it is certainly good value for the energy and money it can save.

Off-grid home cooking
I live off-grid in my lorry as a disabled person & required a means to cook with solar power. At 200 watt this wonderful slow cooker allows me to do just that. It takes 10 hours to cook 5 portions which provides me with a wonderful home cooked stew or curry and gives my solar panels time to recharge the batteries for the next cooking session. The hinged lid works perfectly for my disability. All the moisture from the lid drains back into the pot when opening it to stir the stew with one hand. The soft rubber feet prevent the pot from sliding about when stirring with one hand. Cleaning is easy too as the pot is nonstick inside & out. Itโs surprisingly lightweight too. The controls are simple to understand and easy to use. Remember to leave it unplugged when not in use.

Slow Cooker
A well made product and great slow cooker with two heating levels, low / high with a timer. Goes into warm mode automatically when cooking time ends. The hinged removable lid is very useful. The enamel pot is quite heavy but easy to remove for serving. Great value on offer at ยฃ50. In my experience feeds up to 5 five normal portions.

Easy to cook everything together
This seems really good for the price. Itโs a good size. Bought for my sister who canโt cook. She actually made a stew in it yesterday and her daughter called me to say โmum cookedโ she was so impressed. Being digital itโs easy to set times. Not sure if it has a keep warm ability. My sister is over the moon with the easy of cooking and said it was easy to clean and everything cooked together. I think I might have a super cook in the family now!!

Quality & reliability
Crockpot certainly knows a thing or two about design and quality. This is our third unit in 50 years. We did switch to Swan but that only lasted 18 months so came back to Crockpot the original and best.

Good size pot, easy to clean
Easy to use and clean. I like the fact that this has a count down time and automatically switches to keep warm when cooking time done. I use the slow cooker liners so cleaning is super easy. The cooking pot is a good size when cooking for a family or batch cooking.
