Isopods loving it.

I was getting my first isopods in the mail so I ordered this food as few times a week type food supplement. My newly arrived A. maculatums loved this food and ate it up. That means I don't have to worry they aren't eating and gives me an opportunity to view them. Of course, they have lots of leaves and other decaying hard wood to eat, but this gives me peace of mind when they eat this up and gives me pleasure to directly feed them. I fed this straight as a powder on top of some leaves. Just a little is enough and better to under feed than over feed.UPDATE (07/20/21): I have been using this product for a year now and recently bought another bottle. My little guys love this stuff and I love how easy it is to supplement their diet. 1-2 times a week I give them some powder on top of leaves or their cork hide. It is eaten up over night (if it even lasts that long). No need to cook. Just use the powder dry. I have since added A. vulgare "Magic Potion" (Japan line) and Cubaris murina "Papaya" to my collection. I have some happy breeding isopods.

A must have for isopod keepers

My roly polies go absolutely bananas over this food. I do 1tsp powder 2tsp water and in my microwave it dries out in 50 seconds leaving a sheet I can crumble into flakes. In a day or so it's all eaten up. My colony is extremely healthy and is always starting new generations. Let's be honest, isopods are a dirt cheap pet, investing in special diet food hardly makes them that much more expensive to keep. Trust me they're a lot more entertaining with a population boom because you're keeping them healthy. This food will last you a long time. Repashy has a good reputation as a company for their quality food. Fun fact: the Morning Wood product they sell for fish is the same product if for whatever reason you're only able to get that one, the company has hinted at this label design being limited run, who knows maybe they'll keep selling it as isopod food with enough support from customers.

Isopod population boom!!

I've started breeding isopod pets and had limited luck with small numbers for her last 6 months of just feeding the isopods I had (wild caught in one tank and dwarf white isopods in another) what I feed my pet land snails. I thought maybe they weren't breeding as well because I had them in larger tanks than you really should for breeding and just shrugged thinking they'd breed more eventually, I'll be patient. I recently branched out and got "fancier" isopods like Dairy Cows and Powder Oranges. Decided to put them in smaller breeder tanks to compare and at the same time I ordered the smaller tanks, decided to buy the Repashy Morning Wood (*giggle*) isopod food too. We like Repashy brand for our leopard gecko so I trusted the brand just didn't think it would do much. Was I proven wrong! After giving them this stuff, my isopod population absolutely exploded. Suddenly my wild caught isopods are everywhere and so are the dwarf whites which for a while, I thought they were all dead because 1) you rarely see them and 2) when I did, I would see just a few, no babies ever. My dairy cows and powder oranges are also on their 3rd sets of babies since I got them! It's awesome!Happy, healthy isopods make more isopods!

Repashy products are excellent.

This product, for feeding insects, is easy to use. You can add water to make a slurry, less water to make a jelly-like storable product (to cut into chunks) or it can be given in powder form. For my isopods and springtails, it is really easy to feed in powdered form, and it has increased the health and vigor of my cultures. I use Repashy supplements for my dart frogs as well. I have been keeping them for 15 years and in that time the products to keep them healthy and happy have only gotten better and more widely available. Repashy continually does the research and improves the scope of their product line, new products appear regularly. I highly recommend this product.

Who wouldn’t like to get some Morning Wood?

My isopods all like Morning Wood. I like it because it is easy to make to your desired firmness. I also like that I can make enough for a week or so and it will last. It definitely has a funk to it, but doesn’t smell as bad a hornworm food.

Isopods don't eat as eagerly like they do for Bug Burger

After using Morning Wood alongside Bug Burger and other foods. I've noticed Morning wood is usually the last or takes the longest for my isopods and springtails to eat. They'll only eat it if there is no other food. I keep pruinosis, laevis, and scaber. I still feed it regularly to supplement extra on top of the leaf litter and wood barks.

great for isopods and springtails!

I had originally bought this to help keep my mixed species from fighting over food. Well, just a month later and I have babies! I make it in small batches with some added corn starch to thicken and stretch the formula a little longer, I make them into cubes(quartered) via a silicone ice tray one cut cube lasts a month. I've given the baby cultures 1 cube, and the mother culture gets 2 depending on heat/humidity for the week. since then I've introduced the mix to the springtail cultures, and i think the springtails enjoying it tenfold more than the isopods. my mother springtail culture exploded with life after the first week with a cube.
