I grew up with Stanley and its a great product all the way around. This item fits my cupholders better in my small car v. the large ones I have. The drinks stay hot or cold all day in this. Fits smaller hands too. Pricey, but quality is worth it. I like the colors they offer. Doesn't leak from the lid even when shaking. When using hot beverages, the seal gets really tight and a bit difficult to get the lid off.

After going through a few "leak-proof" containers, this one finally does what it says it does. I teach a Sunday school class and since I do a lot of talking, it's nice to be able to take a swig or two during class. I was putting my drinking containers in my tote bag only to arrive at church with the bottom of my bag, and books, damp from spillage. I finally got tired of trying different ways to keep them upright for the drive to church to include putting a car's cup holder in my back to try and stabilize it.I finally had enough and searched on Amazon. This one came up with glowing reviews. I'm not crazy about the color but it was available for immediate shipment so I got it in time for that Sunday. Of course the first thing I did was to fill it with water, secure the lid, and then proceeded to give it the inverted test. Not a drop. No seepage, no weepage, nothing. Just as dry as when it came out of the packing. I've been using it for a couple of months now and I test it every time before I put it in my tote and it passes the leak test every time.The lid's mechanism is easy to disassemble and clean but make sure you put it back together correctly or you can forget the "no leak" claim! (Don't ask me how I know this! LOL) I'm teasing. You'll know immediately if it didn't go back together correctly as the plunger button won't seat. It's a well-designed mechanism and should last for quite a while. Since I'm only gone for a few hours, I can't comment on how long it keeps beverages cold, but there's no discernible warming for the time I use it. I'm confident it's thermal claims are reasonable.The design of the spout is likewise well thought out so that even while riding in a car, if you're careful you won't spill all over yourself. It doesn't mean you can't, but the deep U-shaped area around the plunder allows you to make a good seal with your mouth so that it won't run out the sides--assuming you're prudent with the angle of the cannister.If you want something to hold your drink that you can put in a backpack without worrying about spillage, this should do the trick. I have one! I like to use it for cold coffee only because I tried it with hot coffee, but to me it’s not safe to put HOT coffee or tea in it for me to drink. I prefer cold coffee or cold tea only. Leakproof and keep drinks to be hot or cold for long time. Mine is army green camo, but my family member wants 2 more black Stanley tumblers. It’s ok if you did not like hot drinks in your own tumblers, but it’s not a negative review, just saying I preferred cold coffee or tea instead of hot ones.
