Really good bag
In love with this bag, the size the quality. It could honestly hold more than you think. And nothing of mine fell out from the front pockets and I use them pretty aggressively.

Nice camelbak, go for the 70oz for longer hikes
Love this camelbak! 4 stars because I don’t believe I filled it with 50oz and it was full. It seems way shorter than I thought as far as the water capacity. I am thinking of buying the 70oz now. Although, It was perfect for my first hike ever. I don’t think I ran out of water until 3 hours in and we hiked for 4 hours. The storage is great, plenty of space for sunscreen, deodorant, lip gloss and some snacks.

Nice combination of water and storage capacity.
I already had Camelbak with 50 oz capacity, but no extra room for storage. I also have a pretty big daypack with Camelbak water storage, hip belt, etc. This Arete fits between and offers the ability to carry some lunch, snacks, small first aid kit, etc. It has a pretty ingenious system for sliding the chest strap up and down to desired height on chest. The only reason I’m deducting one star is that the clip for the water hose is on the right side and can’t easily be switched to the left side where I prefer it.

Love the Look, but Problems with Crux Reservoir
I love the colors and design of this backpack. The only problem I've had is with the bladder itself. The crux bladder included with the backpack proved to be completely useless. When attempting to clean the reservoir that the backpack came with, I tried removing the hose but failed time and time again. After watching several videos and reading different articles, I tried several methods of hose removal including soaking in warm/hot water and using pliers. I'm not sure if this has all come down to user error as it's my first time owning a camelbak but I went on an emotional rollercoaster attempting to remove the hose (failed). I ended up having to buy a separate crux reservoir with the quick-release hose removal. Other than that, the pack is a perfect size for overpackers who enjoy short hikes.
