It comes with a standard warranty. For phones 'dispatched and sold by Amazon', Amazon is the retailer so your initial warranty is with them, and they give you 1 year as standard. However HTC warranty this phone for 2 years, so beyond the initial 1 year warranty from Amazon, you get an additional 2nd year covered by HTC. Your Amazon invoice is your proof of purchase. The HTC warranty comes as paperwork in the sealed product box and is also available on their UK website (http://www.htc.com/uk/smartphones/htc-one/).

Q: Is this phone an import?

My son has been using the phone for the past 7 weeks without any problems. The instructions were in English. My only annoyance was that I thought I was buying new, not someone who had tried it and decided to sell it on. It was as new. It had one of the new smaller simms, so had to get the simm changed to a smaller one. I do not know how I could tell if it was an import.

The one I got was OK, a clean UK model.
