Starfire WR All-Season 225/45R17XL 94W Tire

Great dry and wet traction. No hydroplaning. Quiet, comfortable ride. I have had 3 sets of these tires and each has performed consistently. I have had a set of Michelin Pilot Sport PS2, the benchmark of performance tires, on my car previously and the Starfire WR performs 80% to 90% as well at less than half the price. My only con is that they need to be replaced at about 30,000 miles. However, I drive aggressively and do not rotate my tires as often as you should, so that has to be taken into account. Great tire, great price, best bang for the buck period.

Much quieter than the junk cooper tires that were on the car when I got it. Handle good, hydroplaining is at a minimum, durability is yet to be determined, have 3000 miles on them and have no issues with wear or air loss. For a cheap tire definatly worth the money. Will be replacing the rear tires on this car with these also

This is a very good tire! The ride is very smooth and they last a long time. I am replacing the one that I currently have on my car for about 9 years!

When my tires arrived, I was very excited to load them & take them to Midas to have them mounted, balanced & aligned. They look very sporty, quiet, smooth ride like a Caddy with no noise & greatest value for the money!!! I definitely will order my next set here!!

Ok, so my Mazda 3 came with Dunlop SP Sport 5000 P215/45R18s and those tires get lots of hate from Mazda owners. I would rate them average on ride, noise and dry pavement. Not so great in heavy rain and light snow. Was looking for a replacement tire. Since the Dunlops were $250+ each I looked at some alternatives. The General G-Max AS-05 and Toyo PXAS seemed like good options. Discovered the Starfire tire in my search and based on reviews they seemed to be a quality tire (at a cost of less than half the Dunlops).So far they seem at least the equivalent of the OEM Dunlops with better wet traction and about the same observed MPG. Hopefully better in snow... but will have to wait for that test.Just some history on the Starfire band. It is manufactured by Cooper tires (which was acquired by Goodyear in 2021). The tires I received have a good manufacture date of 2622 (week/year - about 2 months old).I was however disappointed to see they were manufactured in China and why I deducted a star.

Great looking performance tires at a great price! I didn't want cheap looking tires but didn't want to spend a fortune either. These are perfect! The ride is good and traction is definitely better than the Radial T/As they replaced. Also, cornering is excellent. The installing technician was impressed that they required very little weight to balance. I have only had them on the car for a week and have had multiple compliments on the look
