This was almost an exact match to the original clutch spring on my 1984 Toyota Pickup. The only difference is that it’s a slightly heavier spring. It’s not too heavy for daily driver but feels more substantial than the original.

Not exactly Hobson's choice here, but a decision to make none the less. I received a spring a few days ago that was the right length but was too strong. I need to order some sort of a pulling hook and need a second person to help install. This spring is slightly longer but will still fit the expanded spring gap needed, and it's not so powerful as I cannot install it myself. The opposite side has a current spring that didn't break, but is somewhat stronger, but I think this will suffice so the balance won't be off, and the good news is that other spring is four years old and may one day break too, so I have a second one of these to balance the load.It's a quality spring and will replace the ill-fitting one I put on to try and fix it a while ago. I'll probably go with this one as it has enough pull to it to fix my reclining chair pull out footrest problem. It would have been nice to order the exact replacements, but unfortunately, they are from overseas and based on some warranty work I had done on the motor a few years back it took nine months to receive the parts. Supply chains may be faster, but I'm not even sure to know who to talk to for the part number. I think these will suffice though. Recommended, for designed application, and for applications that can accept the size, and will not need a puller hook to install.
