Good Enough, but not Great.
Price:I purchased this desk from Amazon because they had the cheapest price of . I compared and researched similar desks and noticed that the exact same stock photos for this desk were also used for desks on Target's and Walmart's websites - but sold under different "names." So basically they were the same desk with a different name. Target was more than twice the price of Amazon, and Walmart was in between the two.Assembly:It was time consuming and a little less than "easy" to assemble than I anticipated, but I was able to do almost all of it on my own. So it was "okay." There were a few times a I needed an extra pair of hands to hold things into place for me.Info:It's made of laminate material and particle board, not solid wood, but you get what you pay for, and I knew that going in.Pros:It's very lightweight and easy to move around. It's also pretty sturdy. Lots of storage space.Cons:The cubby squares are a weird size. Most shelves and furniture have a "standard" size and you can purchase the fabric or straw-like boxes to hold materials and slide those into the cubbies. You cannot do that with this desk. The cubbies are tall, but NOT wide enough, which was disappointing, but it's also what makes the desk small enough for a small space.

Poor structure
While the building directions were clear the measurements of the product was off. I was not able to lock in place some of the metal screws because the holes were drilled too deep and the locking screws would slide right past them. The whole structure is slightly off. The backing to was not designed so that the entirety of it would stay it place. I had to get additional nails to fix the backing into place. It may potentially serve its purpose without falling apart but I am highly unsatisfied with the product.

You get what you pay for
I ordered this desk because from the measurements, it would fit perfectly in a small space & provide lots of storage for all my craft supplies, which I can tell you does both! Although I must say that you get what you pay for. When my package arrived it was missing all of the hardware to put it together. I reached out to Ameriwood Customer Service & within 24 hours they had gotten back to me and was sending me out my complete replacement of the hardware. That was easy as pie! When the parts came, the wooden dowles were extremely small and don't hold together your pieces, even with the wood glue(I didn't use the wood glue that came with it, I used my Gorilla Glue for wood I had already for crafts) so be cautious when doing those and not to shove them all the way down. I also had to drill the pilot holes just a tiny bit to make them bigger so the screw would be able to fit correctly. All in all when the desk was put together, it was not very sturdy (even after letting the glue dry of course) so there was a quick trip to the hardware store and picked up these little metal brackets (included in my pictures.) With the brackets placed, this desk is now super sturdy and there is no wiggle or wobble! If you purchased this desk and there was no issue for you, awesome, although I would be prepared to do a little modification. I now love my desk (even with my little brackets) and use it every single day! After modifications were made, this desk went from 2.5/3 to 5 stars!!

Good amount of assembly required, but a good product overall.
I assembled this by myself in about 100 minutes, I'm 27 years old and am pretty in tune with this sort of assembly from a lot of ikea purchases in the past. None of the pieces are overly heavy, and I would encourage NOT using glue for the little wooden peg/dowel pieces. I decided to not use the glue as a precaution in the event I made a mistake, but in further assembly steps, the little rotating cam-lock hardware for keeping the pieces together provide more than enough support for the overall item, so I think glue is really just an extra messy step to worry about. All of my wooden pieces were labeled with stickers with letters on them, the bags of hardware were likewise labeled with numbered stickers, easy peasy. I really don't understand where some people are coming from complaining that the instructions aren't clear. If you or anyone you know has ever assembled a medium-sized lego set, you should be good to go. I think there is ONE page where it doesn't explicitly say to put some longer wooden dowels through a piece, but they're the last two remaining, and the wholes are pre-drilled for them, so super sleuthing isn't exactly required. One con I will note that knocked this down to four stars is the fact that there aren't pre-drilled holes in the back of the desk for attaching the thin veneer backing pieces behind the cubby shelves. Just be aware that you're going to want a power drill with a small wood bitt to make your own starter holes to put those pieces on much easier. I huffed and puffed and fumed tediously for ten minutes to get four of the screws in unassisted before I made the trek to the garage for the drill, don't be me, be better.Overall, a good product for the price.

Defects on the main board
Poor assembly design and found defects on the main board so basically not usable . Wanted to return but I'd have to carry all boards from upstairs and repack it and mail it out and deal with the seller to track to get my money back, which is going to be a huge hassle . I will try to see if there's some other way to fix the holes but I'm extremely disappointed with this purchase and will definitely not recommend it to other people!

Awesome quality for dirt cheap
Love the look and functionality of the desk. Putting it together was a pain in the butt and ran out of wood glue putting the first few pieces together but for the price, I don't mind going out and buying more glue!
