I really love puzzles like this. I have several Hanayama puzzles as well as puzzle boxes by iDventure and Esc Welt as well as a few others. This fits right in with that collection, though it's a little simpler than some of the others. This is rated at 6/10 and says it can be solved in about 20 minutes, which seems pretty accurate. That puts it at about the same difficulty as a Level 3 Hanayama. It took me about 10 minutes of fiddling on and off for a minute or two at a time, then about 10 minutes of actually working on it to get it open. Now that I know the secret I can remove the ring in about a minute or less. There's one secret needed to solve the puzzle, so it's not as layered as some others are, but the mechanism and construction of the puzzle are good enough to add Puzzle Potato to my list of trusted puzzle makers. They have a few larger puzzles that I'll have to check out, too.I only had one small issue with this and it wasn't with the puzzle itself. I actually had to order it twice because the first copy sent got crushed in transit. It was only packaged in a bubble bag and looks like something heavy got dropped on it or the van door closed on it. The cardboard tube package the puzzle comes in is sturdy, but not that sturdy.

Having solved it, $18 is a bit much for it. Interesting while it lasted though.

I think the puzzles are getting better over the years due to the precision manufacturing capabilities these days with auto-CAD wood cutters, etc.This puzzle comes in a decorative round tube with padding at the top & bottom. The puzzle has a wooden top and bottom with 3 plastic supports and a bolt and nut system that holds a golden ring in the middle. The object is to be able to remove the ring without a hammer - LOL!The puzzle has a difficulty rating of 6/10 and they estimate it will take someone 15 - 30 minutes to complete. I agree with these estimates. It is a fun little puzzle and best of all it is easy to reset. My previous metal puzzle I got is still sitting in pieces since it was so difficult to put back together! I think most people would enjoy this puzzle without getting super frustrated at it. It is reasonably priced for the high quality of the product.Overall I'm glad I ordered it and will put it with my other puzzles to entertain my friends!

This puzzle is smaller than I expected it to be from the pictures, but that's my fault for not reading the measurements.It is made in a quality manner, though, so that makes up for it. If you like brain-teasers, and little fidget toys, you'll love this.Get yourself thinking and grab one of these as a stocking stuffer, or little gift for the tinkerer in your life.

We were dumbfounded how obvious this is. Very disappointing, especially given the high price. There's no mental challenge to it at all.Spoiler alertThe time it takes to solve this puzzle is mostly just the time it takes to unscrew the nut; after that, wiggle it a bit, and it practically falls apart in your hand.Use the same money to buy two actual puzzles instead.

The puzzle is well made and fairly sturdy. Sadly it was delivered to me in a semi-solved state which made it very easy to figure out and the reason for lower star rating. Regardless it is a nice addition to my puzzle collection and will be a good one to leave out for guests to solve

I saw this puzzle in about 15 seconds. Very disappointing.
