Our original Lenox Eternal has been with us since our wedding back in the early 1990's. I absolutely LOVE it and am happy I chose such a classic pattern. As our family has grown over time, I needed to add some plates for the upcoming holiday, so I naturally checked out Amazon to see if I could get them fast and at a decent price. Macy's is selling the same plates for the same price, but as a Prime member, this was the easiest solution. After checking reviews I ordered one extra plate in case there was some breakage. AMAZINGLY nothing was broken upon arrival, and that is saying a lot because the packaging was a joke. BUT, four of the five plates have a red marking on the bottom, which is greatly disappointing. It looks like the plates may have been seconds, but there is no way to tell for sure. I'm going to keep them because I need them and don't want to deal with the return, but If you have the time, I would suggest you check out your local store to avoid the same situation. No one wants red markings on their fine china. Sad face.

I've been building my collection of Lenox Eternal for years. This dinnerware is so beautiful, classic, and timeless. The China is a creamy, rich ivory, and the gold touches make it super special. It is a joy to set the table for my family with this set. It's a bit pricey, but it is heirloom quality and the timeless design will make it attractive for generations to come.

This Lenox pattern is stunning and it allows for a variety of table setting options. My family chose flowery patterns that dictate the entire color scheme of the table setting. Table decorating is endless with this elegant ivory and gold pattern. I can use my mother's Noritake pink pattern, my grandmother's Wedgewood blue pattern and my great-grandmothers gorgeous plates with my Lenox as the anchor to the table setting. I also have the Lenox Christmas salad plates and the table looks fabulous for holiday dinner parties. I'm very clumsy and I've dropped the plates from my soapy hands back into the sink. Not one has broken.

Lenox told me they have stopped making items in bone china

I was keeping a set of this china for company and special occasions. I finally decided to use it for every day and treating myself to an eating experience at every meal. You can wash these in the dishwasher without worry. The only down side is that I cannot microwave these dishes. Everything looks great when served on this china. If you break one, they still produce this pattern and it's fairly inexpensive.
