Famous Paintings Cards (Art Books)

I bought these cards as a hope and a prayer that they would have the featured artists in my 4/5 year old art class. It had 5 and Andy Warhol wasn’t one of them. That’s ok though. As you can see from the pictures that I posted, they have basic information, which is perfect for a taste, that we can quickly cover and get to the project. 4 and 5 year olds tend to be wiggly so it’s more of the idea. We will see what happens when our homeschool co-op begins. The cards are nice and study, so they should hold up well.

Great little set for teaching my grandchildren about art history.

I wish I would’ve bought these sooner. We use these for homeschool. I have my daughter pick out one during Art she likes them we read the facts on the card, search for books about it and/or the artist from the library and I find activities online to go along with the card. They’re a great thickness and great size. We bought the Usborne Children’s Art book to go with this and they go along with each other nicely. Even better: I’m learning about beautiful paintings as well!

Cards are exactly what I thought they would be, perfect. Card stock is heavy, which is good around kids. Very good product from the UK and it didn't take that long to arrive. Highly recommend.

Interesting concept. Typical usborne quality BUT not one woman featured in 30 cards. Had to buy a book or two about women artists (not usborne!)

Very easy to use - my under 2 year old has already learned to identify eight paintings by title using these cards - however I am disappointed that there is not a single female artist featured in the pack.

Contains most of the obvious masterpieces but I found myself wishing there was a second box with even more variety. My 5 year old immediately spotted some of his favourites and started sorting through them with glee. A lovely stocking filler or educational resource.

Absolutely beautiful cards! Must have been updated recently as the pack now includes female artists! Theres still room for improvement in this regards but glad to see they’re heading in the right direction.My son and I are going to really enjoy looking at these. They’re a great introduction to art history.

A beautiful way to introduce young children to art in a simple, engaging way. The cards are of a high quality and the information on the reverse is concise and just enough for young children to contend with and for older children to want to find out more. I’ve used them in my job in early years and the children love them.
