Explorer Map Ruler Set - Rulers for Many Different Map Scales

The perfect accessory to outgeek your friends on outings requiring the use of a map. I didn't know this product existed till I found it on an Amazon search for map tools. It is indispensable for plotting map coordinates; either Lat/Long or UTM in any scale, or distances in miles or kilometers. 24 different scale rulers are in a package smaller then a folded map. I keep it in my glove compartment so it's handy at the trailhead or for a road trip. I used it recently in Guatemala. My GPS would give me Lat/Long, but I still needed to plot that value on my map to see where I was and which way to turn on an unmarked muddy dirt road deep in the jungle. The local map was in an odd scale, but the Explorer Map Ruler Set had me covered. Inexpensive, light weight, no moving parts, it's a must for adventure travelers.

You get what is said but they are a bit pricey... it's the cheapest I could get the rulers I actually needed... why are these so hard to get and so expensive... still a good product and I needed them.

It has more map scales than I will probably ever use but now I have a pack that will handle any map I come across. You can just take the individual scales that you need which is nice.
