AI TOYK978 2015 Toyota Dash Mounting Kit, Black

The only part people might not like is the silver edge. The OEM was silver polished smooth almost chrome like. This edge surrounding it is the silver painted material that actually matches the silver painted big piece above the glove box.No big deal still fits and looks amazing for us.Just the bottom where the shift knob is is shiny and goes to this painted silver piece.See photos.The radio itself has the silver polished edge around it so it makes it blend well.I had to trim more off for the big 10 inch screen to sit back further. No big deal if I messed it up get another one. You can see it in the photo. I finished the edge smooth sanded and put some finishing black foam on the edge. You can’t tell when it’s installed.All of the mounting wholes lined up perfectly and just pushed in the plastic edges for it to line up.This works great and easy to take in and out if you have to re-wire speakers or do anything else.This is snug and firm doesn’t wiggle shift make noise nothing. No complaints here. Good kit for everything we needed.If you have a single head unit stereo. This kit is made for it to sit in the top slot. We modified this kit to have the single head unit fit in the bottom space and put the spacer in the top spot.Had to use my soldering gun the melt open slots to fit plastic tabs in and it worked perfectly.

I bought both Ai TOYK978 2015 Toyota Dash Mounting Kit and Metra 99-8249 Single/Double DIN Dash Kit for 2015 - Toyota Camry (Black) from Amazon for my 2016 Camry. Both products fit and function were the same but the Ai was far superior in quality.1) Main weak point on both units: the two lower tabs used to connect the lower dash piece. The Metra arrived damaged. It had a broken tab at the bottom. Both tabs on the Metra were thin and could easily be broken during install. If you installed it in your car it's highly likely both tabs would break if you ever had to take it apart. The tabs on the Ai were much thicker and could probably withstand several installs.2) Look and feel: The Metra looks cheap. The "chrome" trim was speckled as if it was spray painted. It was not smooth like the factory panel. The Ai product on the other hand was "shiny" and smooth and looked just like the OEM product. Both products shared similar black finish.Both products fit in my car (minus the Metra due to the broken tab). Overall, you can't go wrong with the Ai product.

installed in a 2015 Camry. Basically the only part of this project that showed up on time and worked as it should. Fit perfectly and matched the existing dash.

The silver trim doesn't match up with the OEM trim. OEM trim is glossier and the trim on the kit is a matte finish. The black finish matches up to OEM fairly well. Fitment is nice, no complaints there. Holds my double din kenwood firm and flush. Would buy again.

I've used a ton of kits over the years and this is the first time using this brand. It is, by far, the best fitting kit that I've ever used. Its pretty solid. The edge trim is paint-matched to the dash trim rather than the chrome console trim, but it still matches. Really good kit.

Don’t even buy Metra it’s a piece of crap

Works ok. Made poorly 3 out of 6 mounting table snapped putting screws in by hand. Color is not perfect. Trim ring is not chrome to match car. Fit is OK but definitely not perfect
