This column looks great and is well made. Heavy and impressive. I put a large marble-like bust of Shakespeare on it and it looks great together.

Realistic finish on decorative column. Very stable. Will serve as stand for small statue and its setting

I like the look of it, but I do not think it is stable enough to hold anything.

Has a nice aged look to it. Wasn’t very heavy so not sure how it would fare outside in a strong wind but is perfect indoors. The contrast of the white statue with this base is very nice! The packaging for the base was good. Just wish companies would stop using the styrofoam that breaks apart into tiny balls that stick to everything. That happened with this base and it took a while to get all of the styrofoam off of it. Other than that would highly recommend and would buy again!

Fits exactly what I need

This is a great pedestal to put by our front door. Adds class and a space to decorate with or to set things while trying to unlock the door.

I ordered this item to replace a very similar column I had as a feature in my yard for displaying a nice large potted plant. Unfortunately the one I already had, has deteriorated over the years from exposure to the elements because like this one it is made from a molded resin like substance rather then being made from cement or carved from stone. To give it a longer life then the one I already had, this one I plan on coating with a thick clear coat of resin designed to withstand the elements. It doesn't have to be just for potted plants. It would also work well as the base for a bird bath, a sundial, a gazing ball or it could even just be used as a decorative feature to give your garden a classic look. It also could be used with great effect in a home as a display stand for a unique piece of art or just about anything you really want to show off. It's solidly constructed and has just enough weight to keep it from being easily knocked over and yet is light enough to be able to be moved without great difficulty.

This column arrived intact, as described, securely packaged in clear plastic, inside molded styrofoam within an exterior manufacturer cardboard shipping box. This is a gift-worthy item - can send directly with confidence.Although I was confused by the material specified (magnesium oxide) plus its designation as indoor/outdoor, I ordered this column anyway - I love columns. Most of mine are indoor, with one vintage outdoor cement pillar. With plenty of interior only columns, this will be placed outdoors. However, the column seems too nice, and unless the finish on the material behaves as a sealant, the magnesium oxide feels like plaster/bisque - a kiln-fired type substrate that is hollow in its center. But having others with seemingly the same material which do crumble with humidity indoors, it remains to be seen if this can withstand the elements.The underside of the base reveals that the typical opening/hole required for this type of material has been filled in. That is a relief since being outside, it prevents critters from burrowing and taking up residence. Also that prevents any moisture from entering. The underside also has round foam furniture pads should this be placed indoors. Being concerned about where to place this since the material doesn’t inspire confidence being directly on soil, it is now on the deck - a compromise of outdoors - not directly on the ground and slightly sheltered by an above overhang.Aside from sturdiness/hardiness concerns, it looks exquisite! The details on the capital and the column itself demand to be looked at. The top is level and flat should this be converted to a table base or have pots or other items displayed. One corner of the top appears to have a chip which must have occurred after firing but before painting, so it is not immediately visible, and doesn’t bother me as imperfections make the piece seem aged and authentic. The color reads as bronze or oil rubbed bronze which is very on trend, and unusual since most columns are available only in white. Believing it would be too dark, I found it complements the exterior dark trim on the house (bronze and black accents), so I am surprised at how well I like the color.I may get a round base (like for a clay flower pot) to place this on as a buffer and leveler for the ground since this really deserves to be observed from afar. Close up, the detail and how the sunlight wraps around it gets missed.Please note if any of this information I have shared has helped in your selection of this product either way - I don’t want to provide useless reviews but informative ones.
