Excellent product for Broken Tile repair
After heavy rains this winter I discovered a leak onto our bedroom ceiling. Upon checking our roof I found a badly broken tile and began a search for materials suitable for its reliable long-term repair. My key criteria included: * Exceptional bonding to my cement tile material * Long-term elasticity to accommodate differential expansions over time and weather conditions * Waterproof to a maximum extent to resist debonding after months & years of winter rains * Ability to last for years of exposure to direct sunlight and high rooftop temperatures * Be easily workable and able to readily wet to my bonding surfaces to achieve a reliable long-term waterproof bond In the past I have used black Polyurethane roof-patching materials with good success, particularly when I pretreated the area to be sealed with a painters solvent to achieve extremely good surface wetting of difficult to clean, often dusty rooftop surfaces. For my current tile-bonding application, I should be able to achieve good surface cleaning, and my previous black Polyurethane roof-patching material was no longer available. So after reviewing a number of bonding-material candidates I went with this DAP material in a gray color to sort-of match the gray tile. The one apprehension I had was the number of negative reviews about the excessive stiffness of the material as received by some Amazon reviewers. As my tile crack was weathered and filled with dirt, I decided to open my tile crack up into a V-groove with a diamond saw...thus producing smooth virgin tile surfaces for the caulk to bond to. The V-groove also aids in working the caulk into the joint to assure total filling and thorough surface contact. To expand the total bond area, the surface of the tile was also thoroughly cleaned adjacent to the groove and along the tile edges with an angle-grinder power wire brush to allow the crack adhesive to be spread out onto the tile surface adjacent to the V-groove and to seal the tile left longitudinal side crack which feeds water to the overlap seal with the adjacent tile. Since the lower part of the overlap seal on the left side is interrupted by the break, and is not visible from the surface, it represents a more difficult situation to reliably seal. This was addressed by buttering the left overlap seal break area with caulk before sliding the tile piece into place, and then filling the left-hand tile joint with caulk to minimize water reaching this difficult sealing area. Despite a number of negative comments about the excessive stiffness of the DAP caulk, it was found to be exceptionally easy to eject and spread, and appeared to wet surfaces immediately, and trowel smoothly, promising a excellent waterproof bond. My guess is that those negative reviews about excessive stiffness may be associated with folks that didn't recognize the cartridge is shipped with an internal diaphragm that must be punctured with a ram rod down the snout after the cone tip is cut off. Once this was done, my caulk flowed extremely easily. So far...highly recommended. We'll see how long it lasts!

dippity doo DAP dippity day - I bought this in the colour grey. . .
Bought 2 tubes actually. I had to plug up a few dozen holes in the floor where lag bolts used to be. This stuff worked GREAT!!! - after I figured out that the hole and floor around it had to be clean - which is what I would have known if I read the instructions first. These holes are in a floor that has been treated with an epoxy coat, so it was important to sweep, brush hole with wire tooth-brush tool, and wipe away all the fine dust with a damp cloth. Next day I plugged the holes with DAP and calk gun. Needed some good grip strength to work the caulk gun. It gets easier as the tube empties out. I FORGOT a putty knife to make the plugs flat to the floor with a little bit of a collar around each hole for sealing. Greg cardboard worked fine.Set up was about a day, and 3 days later we were moving stuff over the holes and the DAP held in fine. I like this stuff, and probably will tend to buy it if I need it here again or at home. It is a little more expensive than some of the other products, but it is worth it for its durability. Oh, it was a little smelly during application, but smell was gone the next day. ThankS! : )

Better have strong wrists
4 stars because while the product is high quality, it was nearly impossible to get it out of the tube. I tried leaving the tube in the sun with little effect. Finally used a heat gun, which eventually lowered the caulk viscosity sufficently to get it out, but still required several wrist rest breaks to finish the project

Wear gloves. Hands looked dirty for a week
Better than gorilla glue. No foam residue. Project looks great.

Did like the description said it would
Work great on my repair on my leaking roof rack. Great buy for sure. Drying time is very fast!

Was hardened in the tube, wasted money
This was a huge disappointment, once I snipped the tip and tried applying it I noticed it was hard as a rock inside the tube! What a waste of money! I’m afraid of ordering this type product again for fear it’s going to be hardened in the tube like this one was.

One of best caulking materials out there.
If you are looking for a super durable waterproof caulk this is the real deal. Not sure why but neither of the two big box home improvement stores carry it. I’ve used it for caulking around windows and doors as well as areas where concrete butts up against wood ( sidewalk and patio areas). It’s very sticky when you apply it. When this stuff dries and cures, it becomes very firm but still flexible. Its consistency is like a hard rubber. Very durable. One minor heads-up - The stuff is very difficult to squeeze out of the tube with a caulk gun. You would need the hand strength of an adult Orangutan to do it. I ended up using a heat gun to warm it up so it was easier to apply.

Dap roof sealant
The product seem to work but it must’ve been damaged a little sense it leaked out of the bottom of the container.
