Between an L and XL? LARGE is perfect!
Large is usually borderline tight across the chest and good on shoulders. XL for me in a bit long in sleeve and loose on shoulder.This LARGE shirt is great and sleeve length perfect in the shoulders and is generous across the chest. It is perfect if you are a borderline large or extra large.Material of the shirt is absolutely top-notch!

Very uncomfortable for the extra strip of the material sewn in at the neck area. Not the way to go to hold in the form on its place. Get back to classic fine professional tailoring without too smart secondary ideas. I'd avoid it for the hot temperature outdoor.
