Truly Universal, Well Constructed and Works Like it Says (read the directions!)
Ok, first of all some of the reviewers here need to actually read the directions. The universal sock tube is NOT designed to fit over the tapered end of the plastic pipe that connects to your blower. The instructions specifically state that the universal adapter is to be placed over the blower OUTLET. The ILLUSTRATION clearly shows that the plastic pipe that is normally attached to the blower is to be taken OFF. In other words remove the one or two piece plastic blower pipe from the blower and attach the universal sock tube directly to the blower outlet that is right next to the main body of the blower itself. If you do this, it fits snuggly and does not come off.As for the twisting, once again, read the directions. The pipe that attaches to the universal sock adapter actually has a twisting coupler built into it. Once everything is attached, in order to get the elbow to point the right direction simply twist the coupler at the first extension pipe next to the adapter. This is necessary since the elbow and each piece of tubing do not just push together but instead screw together and then lock in place. The coupler allows you to twist the first piece of tubing and get the elbow pointed where you want it. If you do this the sock adapter won't twist and tear. You may need to re-adjust the elbow from time to time depending on the job. The only way you will twist the sock adapter and tear it is if you don't like to take care of your equipment, never look at how it is designed, or use it like a gorilla would. Finally I have a Makita BHX2500CA Commercial Grade 4-Stroke 24.5cc Handheld Blower and the sock tube attaches securely. The plastic piping is in my opinion grade A and not "flimsy" at all. With all four extensions connected, the piping does not flex, bend or bow when it is raised to the gutters. I have used it on my gutters without issue, even blows wet leaves and water out (watch out you will be a mess when you are done!) As far as the elbow coming off, I have no idea how the one reviewer managed to cause the elbow to come off? Does he bang the thing on a wall first or maybe he has a 600 mph blower? As far as using the system, holding the blower with one hand and the extension with the other can be tiring. It is tough to hold the extension down when my Makita is at full speed, but it can be done. Overall I think this is a great product that works perfectly. It is sturdy and well designed. Truly universal as well!

Game changer. Drawbacks easy to overcome.
Works like a charm on dry leaves, acorns, and sticks. The utterly silly engineering/manufacturing defect was cheap and easy to overcome, so now it's a dream. We built a garage under almost complete tree cover, including two large oaks, a hackberry, and several other trees. The gutters need cleaning every week. After a few weeks of ladder and scoop method, I bought this. I was skeptical of 1) the universal adapter staying on the blower outlet and 2) the power transferred to the end of the extension. I used it for the first time tonight on dry leaves, acorns, and sticks and it's a game changer for me.For reference, I am using this with an electric Rigid shop vac blower. I have to use one of the Rigid blower extensions because there's no place on the blower motor housing itself to attach this WORX extension, but it works fine. So, my setup is: Rigid blower motor --> Rigid blower tube, 1 segment --> WORX universal fabric adapter --> WORX plastic adapter --> WORX extension segments (x3) --> WORX curved end tube.Within 3 minutes, the WORX plastic adapter blew out of the WORX fabric adapter. To be clear, the WORX adapter did NOT come off the Rigid blower tube (as was my expectation). Rather, the WORX fabric adaptor came off of the WORX plastic adapter. I am actually not sure how it was ever attached together; I found a small zip tie inside the fabric adapter, so assume that was the original attachment, but I did not see how to put it back together. In any case, I simply used a worm-drive clamp to re-attach the fabric to the plastic adapter. Once that was done, it stayed on securely. The WORX-to-Rigid attachment never caused an issue. My second concern about the power delivered at the end of the extension was a non-issue. There was plenty of power to blow everything out, and was actually a little hard to control with one hand (holding the motor with the other) until I figured out to hold a little higher on the extension arm. I have not tried it on wet leaves yet, but expect it will do a passable job on them as well.
