A must for your down rigger.
Would have given it 5 stars but the screw and nut were missing, package was open. Put the hook on backwards so you can carry the ball while underway. Won't come off that way.

Missing parts
Great product.missing parts obviously someone opened and returned. Shipped to me without ss/hook&nut

Incomplete package
As you can see from the two pictures whoever packaged the items at the Scotty factory neglected to include two important parts. Than to top it off a similar Neanderthal neglected to realized the faulty package was not adequate. So they want me to return both so I can wait to for them to correct their error.

Weight Holder
I use these to hold the cannon balls when moving from fishing spot to fishing spot. They hold a 10lb ball with no issue. Scotty makes a very good product.

Why did I not get these sooner! Great part, why Scotty does not include these on a $400-$500+ downrigger to begin with is beyond me, but I will always have these on every unit (regardless of brand) I own from now on. So much easier, especially on re-positioning runs or when getting setup in the morning.
