Q: How do these shoes compared to Vionic shoes

I have never worn Vionic. I have Kuru. But these shoes a great. They have helped my foot pain. I still have minimal heel pain. But I recommend.

Yes, they are removable. The shoes are roomy and com with extra insoles to compensate. Very comfortable shoes.

Q: I wear a 5.5 shoe should I order a 6, I have toe numbness and leg pain from other walking shoe?

I wear an 8 1/2 or a 9. I ordered the 9. There is less than a thumb width from my toe to the end of the shoe. I think that I would go with the 6 if I were you. Hope this helps.

Q: Are these sneakers cushiony on the matatarsals?

I returned the shoes. Although, they were very cushiony I didn't feel that they gave my feet the support on the sides. The shoe has mesh and doesn't give a lot of support.
