Dynomax 36474 Exhaust Pipe Spout for Ford F-150

Just cut off excess tailpipe, allow about two inches to go inside tip, tighten clamp down over slots, drive for 20 minutes to get tip hot and retighten. Had it on for a month and still super tight and still shiny, looks great. Here's a suggestion rotate clamp to have bolt on top. You can't see clamp from side or from the back, looks welded on. 3"to 4" stainless tip

Exactly as advertised. And the band clamp looks to be of the exact same quality as those we use in the truck plant at which I work. The fit guide isn't accurate, so go off whether or not the exhaust on your truck is 3". If you don't know, either just measure the diameter across or if you can't do that, wrap a piece of string around it, measure that circumference and divide by pi (3.14). The SS tip I received fit my 3" exhaust exactly.

Fit perfectly on my 3” tailpipe. The design of this s/s tip is above average, with sleek angles and curves. The weight of this exhaust tip is heavy...so by NO means is it sub-par s/s, cheap materials or flimsy. The clamp that was provided seemed beefy and you WILL need a breaker bar for leverage to install fully and properly. The clamp must be seated fully, in order for it do what it is supposed to do. Tip-drive around the block a few times to let the metals heat up, THEN tighten it down some more, for additional torque and to be sure the clamp is secure and tight. Overall, a good product and a good polish on the chrome.

I ordered the Dynomax 36474 Stainless Steel Exhaust Tip for my 2004 Ford F150 Triton V8. It doesn't come close to fitting the stock exhaust pipe. It's way too large in diameter. The product was very nice in quality, aesthetics, and the clamp was very sturdy. Unfortunately I had to send it back for the same reason as another customer, Amazon's site said it would fit my truck but it did not. I would have kept it had it fit properly like it said it would. I was able to return the item for a full refund free of charge.

The media could not be loaded. Would give this five stars, except for the clamp issue, which nets it a minus one. I needed a new stainless tip for my 2004 Nissan Titan as the previous tip that was on there fell off due to a rusted out clamp. I chose this Dynomax tip as a cheap replacement, not expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised when I got it and pulled it out of the box. It appears to be solidly built and it immediately upgraded the look of my exhaust. It's important to note that while this has an inlet of 3" and an outlet of 4", it really has no effect on sound. There are no baffles of any type inside this tip. It's really just window dressing for your exhaust. The one thing to keep in mind is that the clamp that is provided with the tip is useless. You can't really tighten it down enough due to its design. As a result, when it's at its maximum allowable tightness, there is still way too much play in the connection, and you can still slide the tip off. Not good. The only way around this is to install a shim, or go with another type of clamp, which I did. I ended up getting a 3" stainless exhaust clamp and using that, which worked to perfection. The negative reviews here are very misleading, and are mostly about the seller; this product is exactly what it is supposed to be, and is exactly the size that Dynomax says it is. People get irritated at Amazon for inaccurate descriptions, and that is a problem ALL the time. I simply do a Web search for the part number, and search Amazon for that number; their descriptions are terrible. BUT that doesn't mean that products deserve a negative review; this is a quality product that fits just fine over 3-inch pipe, and the clamp is very heavy duty and high-quality. If you are dissatisfied with a seller's description, including Amazon, those comments belong in the Feedback area, NOT here! I am a very picky certified technician, and don't give out 5-star reviews in abundance, but this is a nice tip, and looks great on my rig!

I read some of the other reviews on this, was concerned but ordered it anyhow. Here is the straight scoop......this exhaust tip is very heavy duty, the stainless is really polished but is very thick metal. Your exhaust pipe MUST be 3", if you think you are going to clamp this onto anything smaller than 3" it will not work, the metal is too thick and the clamp included will not go down any smaller than 3". Measure your tailpipe before ordering. Regarding the supplied clamp, it is heavy duty as well, really heavy duty. This is not like anything I have seen at the auto parts store. I tried using a 3/8" drive ratchet/socket to tighten it and could not get enough leverage, I had to switch to my 1/2" drive. In order to get this clamp to work you need to really wrench down on it, the ears on the clamp actually have to bend into place. It is also SS so the metal is tough to bend, if you really lean into the ratchet it works great, if you wimp out it will not clamp the tip very well. One last thing, the tip is 4" in diameter and will slide over your tailpipe but it looked odd on my truck because you could see the smaller pipe inside the tip. I cut about 9" off my tailpipe and clamped this tip into place, the end of the tip is exactly where the stock tailpipe was and it looks great! It did not really change the sound.

Received this item in a timely manner. Good value for the price, well made and nice looking. However, while installing it, the bolt furnished with the clamp broke in half...just snapped right off!!??!! This resulted in my having to make a run to Home Depot to replace it. Got the bolt, but after I finished tightening it as far as I could, there is still a little bit of up-and-down play in the fit. It looks great, but I'll be keeping an eye on it for slippage. Might have to go and get it tack-welded just in case...which I was trying to avoid.

I ordered this for a friend with a 2017 Ram 1500, single exhaust pipe. The tip fit perfectly. It was super easy to install with the included hardware and only took a couple of minutes. The pictures speak for themselves. Great-looking tip, well-built, and very easy to install

Installed on a new 2018 Ford F150 with a 3" O/D exhaust pipe.Ad says 3" I/D on the TIP.Both are correct but you must use heavy grit sandpaper to remove the rough finish on the exhaust pipe.Use a rubber mallet and 1/2 roll of paper towels to protect the finish on the Tip and after a few good whacks, fits like a glove. Highly recommend to those who will take the time to install. Perfect look.

I cannot think of anything negative. Time will tell. It looks well made and fits perfectly over a 3" tailpipe.It is heavy and if it is chrome over stainless steel should last a long time. Its ancestor was chrome overregular steel and rusted quite quickly on the surface, probably gravel hits didn't help.
