Very nice worm keeper
Started trout fishing again and had a dozen worms leftover from our first outing. From past experience, I know styrofoam is the only way to go. I’ve had those compressed sawdust square units, which warp and dry out easily. This unit comes with a huge amount of compressed bedding (hooray), and I only needed a small amount to wet, squeeze and fill the box around 75% full. I toss in coffee grounds, smashed up egg shells, and grass clippings. A month later, those worms were nice and spry. The box is nicely vented, and sits in the floor next to my garage workbench, however I’ll make room in the garage fridge- with summer heat ahead. Box is nice size, shape, and easy to access. Thick styrofoam helps with insulation. Get one!

Pretty nice box.
I had this outside & when I opened it up their were a bunch of gnats in there and tiny little worm like things in there & my worms were all gone except a half of one. I did get sick & couldn't go out there all the time but i gave them food that supposed to last for 2 weeks. So i dont know if it was me that messed up or because gnats got in. Maybe I'll try again.

Save yourself trip after trip to get more crawlers
My husband goes fishing a lot. A whole lot. It's not just a summer weekend thing. It's also in the dead of winter here in Minnesota out on a lake that's covered in 3 feet of ice. It's in the spring in the rain, and pretty much anytime he can get out. Right now he goes out weekly, but the closest place that sells crawlers is about 15 minutes away in the opposite direct of lakes and the river he fishes. He prefers to buy an extra pack of crawlers or two and just hold them over to the following weekend and even the one after, since he goes so after. But they start to look rough after a few days to a week.My husband happened to have two packs of crawlers on hand already when I bought this for him. They were at that point where they weren't dead, but weren't look all that alive any more either. He had bought the crawlers on a Thursday night and by the time he got this container it was the following Wednesday. The crawlers had already made two trips to and from the Mississippi river by that time.He put the remaining crawlers in this and 48 hour later checked on them. We were pretty surprised that they have started to come back to life. They were obviously feeling better and more revived. They were close to gone by the time they were put in this, and now look like they'll be good for some time. They've already lived long enough for another trip out today. If you want to save yourself some trips to get bait, this works very well.

Awesome product!
I didn't want to write a review until I seen how this was going to work. I have had worms kept in in it for about two months now. They are multiplying. This is awesome. Would recommend to anyone who still fishing with worms.

Definately try it out well worth it
After using this for a while, I found out you can't slack on changing bedding, if left unchecked it turns toxic to the night crawlers. I let it go with out changing bedding and 100% of them had died. My original review follows now: works excellent!!! It has been weeks and night crawlers love it!!! Very easy to use just keep distilled water on hand to moisten bedding or in a moment of need rain water works well also!! Highly recommend!

Good system to keep your worms alive long term
This product is made of styrofoam which has good insulating propertiesThe lid is vented so you worms won't suffocate. The bedding is made of shredded newspaper, which if you mix with your hands...the ink will stain them black,so wear rubber gloves when mixing with water if you are a wussy. I being 100% MAN just wash my hands afterwords no problemo! The bedding also has food in it so you can keep your bait alive for months. The price is okay snap one up now before Bidenomics causes the price to triple!Uh oh recession here we come!

For my animal
I got this because my pacman frog loves nightcrawlers. Its awesome i keep it in my cold basement in the dark the nightcrawlers love it! i dump some dirt in there to mix and its even better. Recommended if you have fish or any animals that likes to eat nightcrawlers. At the end of the day having your own worm farm is way cheaper and conveniant

If you want a clean way to hold your worms
Used to find the soil in the worm boxes hard to deal with once I got this the material where you put the worms are easy to deal with. No more mess. Keeps the worms in good condition.

Received broken :(
Bought it as a christmas gift, so I can't tell about the quality of the product itself, but I'm quite disappointed as I received it broken (as showed on the picture)... I just hope it's still gonna work..!
