Yet to use, but very happy with 1st impression.Nice machined (black oxide?) finish. With clearly visible number sizes.I put a shallow 19mm socket on my thinest ratchet. I put the 19mm Astro in the closed end of a gear wrench. The difference in clearance that can be gained is impressive and worth every dime when you need it.I also put the same 19mm Astro on the ratchet and still gained clearance.I have seen people say that they used this 3/8" drive with adapters on a 1/2" impact. It clearly says not to with the paper in the box. Astro seems to have a good reputation for everyday hobbyist tools. This is my first, but look forward to using it.

I've had these for about 2 years and use them constantly. They are as slim as anything out there and fit in places most sockets just can't.Do yourself a solid and get the flex head ratcheting handle too.

Bought these sockets to compliment my impact socket set. I like that they can be used with the Astro flex head ratchet for a very low profile making these very helpful in tight spaces. The broaching on the sockets seem to be done well. The size is legible.

The 17mm wrench fitting is invaluable and makes these worthwhile. I guess they had to decide whether durability was more of a concern than low profile, and went with durability.Most of these are no shorter than my standard sockets - the larger ones are for sure though. They could have shaved on another 2-3mm and still had enough to grab a bolt IMO - but IDK if you'd want to use them as impact sockets if that were the case.The way they are is well made, fine for impact, 17mm wrench fitting means you will be able to get them into spots you won't get a socket and wrench. But if you are looking for a super-stubby socket as a specialty tool, not sure this is for you.
