Q: Are the draw bottoms strong enough for sheets, towels etc or flimsy hardboard?

Yes the drawers are strong i have throwovers and curtains in them.

Generally the King size bed measures 150cm(width) x 200cm (Length)

I'd imagine so. I got a Kingsize as have a king mattress and it's perfect

Good base, great price

We decided to get separate base and mattress as money was a bit tight and chose this base. It arrive in a couple of days and I’m very pleased with it. It was wrapped in heavy duty plastic with cardboard protection on the corners, and castors in a bag for each half. The base came with small clamp type things to keep it together, but we used another method. All in all a good solid base, and although our new mattress hasn’t arrived yet, it has improved our sleep!

It moves on carpet freely - very easy for one person to clean the floor underneath.

It is a good quality base and a good price. We have put a foam mattress on top and have no complaints.
