Flood 1 gal. Honey Gold Transparent CWF-UV Exterior Wood Stain

I've used Flood products on the deck for years. The local Menards use to carry this color of Flood UV, but no longer. The cost on Amazon with free shipping was comparable to what I paid last time I bought a 5 gallon pail.

This sealer/stain application is extremely smooth. The coverage was very good my table was very dry and it absorbed well and dried quickly. The clean up with soap and water was simple and cleaned up well. The only negative, was the packing for the shipment. The gallon can was laying on its side in the box with no plastic bag or any packing materials. I was lucky and my delivery was OK, no dents or leaks. I recommend this product to my friends.

Flood product excellent. Amazon Shipping has issues! Product damaged in transit.Update: in a period of 7 days I ordered 2 separate cans of this product. Both cans shipped, both cans damaged in transit. Both cans were destroyed by shipper. I Never received. First can refund was handled quickly and easily.Second can’s refund of my monies went horribly ! Still trying to get my money back. Had to deal with Amazon’s headache of a return system & customer service! Never again. Sorry Flood! Your product may be great - but Amazon’s shipping is the worst!

First, I have used Olympic transparent Honey Gold, but this was cheaper. The Olympic can be applied with a pump spray, but this cannot. I had to buy a Wagner pain sprayer, Wagner Spraytech 2467899 Control Pro 130 Power Tank Paint Sprayer to do the job. I used 12 gallons to cover 400' x 6' tall cedar fence. The Flood Honey Gold is a much richer color than the Olympic Honey Gold and it looks better. The good thing is that it cleans up with water. The bad thing is that you will need to back-brush it with a roller. Do about 30' at a time then back brush.

I've used this product on a clients deck with great success for over 20 yrs. But it is no longer available in the local market. The first 2 gallons ordered came in plastic bags with air pillows in the box to keep them safe. While this same packing process was used on the next 2 gallons ordered, the cans came extremely dented and BOTH lids were starting to raise to a point of spilling product. Dents do not bother me, I'll use the gallons quickly and they will be in the trash. But the condition of the box, and cans tell me they were dropped or slammed so hard the cans were almost compromised.

Best product out there

I did not like the fact that I’ve been told for the past three weeks that my package was in transit, but it was broken and not going anywhere. Hopefully, I can get a replacementI have used this product before very easy to use and looks good

This goes on so easy. I used a sponge to do the deck floor. Just dip in a 5 gallon pail and go to it. Get to one side and then go back immediately for a second coat. On new deck boards it gives a nice rich golden tone. Shed water well. Water clean up makes the whole job easy. I will see how it holds up after a WNC mountain winter. I am very happy with this product, price and quality.
