DHP Kayden Daybed Solid Wood, Twin, White

I bought this bed for my daughter and she loves it. Its a feng shui solution for her rather small bedroom. I looked through many offerings on Amazon, but settled on the Dorel for it’s simple, cottage style appearance. The price point was reasonable for a solid wood frame. It is lightweight, but has held up toOur daughter has been using it for the past several months. Not only delivered as a space saving solution we were looking for, but our daughter uses it as her go-to hang out space for homework, reading, journaling, socializing and a host of other activities. This bed is also a nice “sofa” for when friends visit.When made up, its utilitarian purpose far exceeds that of a regular bed. It’s our daughter’s main furnishing in her room and one that ties the space together with its cottage-y charm. I would highly recommend this bed for those who have limited space and want a solid bed that provides multiple functions. It was a challenge to put together by myself, but I managed and it didn't take more than 2 hours. My fingers were a bit sore from tightening things with an Allen wrench though.~ Kort

Needs at least 2 people to assemble. Sturdy and looks better than expected.

The bed frame is sturdy for the price and easy to assemble once you’ve figured out the directions better. Took about an hour and an half by myself to assemble. Imagery and directions didn’t match up well. I love the high frame so that you can easily add a trundle or even storage. No noise or squeaking on the frame I received so far. Very cute for guest room or children.

I am using the daybed in my living room to recover from lumbar surgery. The espresso color is a dark brown and beautiful. I need extra pillows to put behind my back when I sleep on my side. This bed is perfect to do that. I am 5’ and the bed is a good size for me.

This has been a great bed for my 3-year-old son so far. The bad is firm and sturdy and looks nice. I was hesitant to purchase a bed online, however, after using the bed for the past month, I would say I'm definitely a fan. Take a chance on this bed... you won't be disappointed.The espresso color is a darker brown, but matches up well with the other furniture in my son's bedroom.The overall construction time was probably about 90 minutes, and can be done alone. Having said that, it was nice to have my wife available to help in a couple spots where I needed help holding a piece while tightening the screws.My wife or I read stories to our son each night and one of us is in the bed with him while we read and the bed is sturdy and solid under both of our weights. I honestly don't have any concern or worry that the bed wouldn't support us. My son and I combined are around 220lbs.The biggest issue I have with the bed is the large space underneath the bed because now my son likes to hide under his bed when he doesn't want to do what we are asking of him... not the fault of the bed though. :)Overall, I would definitely recommend this bed and think you'll be pleased.If my review was helpful, please click on 'helpful' below. We spent a little extra for this brand and I'm glad we did. The quality is excellent, very comfortable with 10" twin mattress. Took a little while to assemble but just need to follow the directions.

Our search for the right DAYBED for our guest room ended at the Dorel Asia Daybed on Amazon Prime! After an entire week sifting through online DAYBEDS, it seemed a wise ( what we thought might be) first shot! It was our ONLY shot, because it couldn't get any better! It arrived in 2 days, via Amazon Prime, in a tall, narrow compact ,singular box,with every piece present and accounted for. The directions are SIMPLE, the design is perfect for building a STURDY, STRONG STABLE, Square unit! It looks like it was made and delivered by a high end furniture store, and it took Sunni 2 all of 30 minutes, alone, to build. The value is EXCEPTIONAL; under 200.00 , free PRIME shipping!? It has 9 (NINE) sturdy, straight pine slats with spacers for constructing, all the screws are angled and countersunk. We had a very good pillow top 9 inch high single mattress that is PERFECT for it. When we purchase the slide under pop up trundle spring that matches the height of the bed ,when pushed together, guests at our house will have a KING BED on which to sleep. For now, we purchased a set of lovely single sheets and a matelasse coverlet set with pretty tie in back pillow shams in queen size for 2 reasons: Queen was the same price as twin , but gives us 2 gorgeous shams. The coverlet is scalloped and hangs JUSSST to the floor for a PERFECT look!We HIGHLY recommend this remarkable DAYBED.Just be certain whomever constructs it really knows how to tighten all the screws perfectly or you'll end up with a wibbly wobbly bed.
