Works but most of our equipment wobbles
All of our original hitch mounts on our vehicles were 1 1/4", so most of our equipment that we have accumulated over the years needs a 1 1/4" receiver; however, we now pull a travel trailer that required hitch with a 2" receiver. That left us with one vehicle with a 1 1/4" receiver and one vehicle with a 2" receiver while all of our equipment uses a 1 1/4" receiver. This adapter does work to allow us to use the 1 1'4" equipment, but there is always a wobble even though we have purchased another doo dad to help firm up the wobble. This adapter works, but there may be wobble both from the adapter not fitting tightly into the 2" receiver and from the equipment not fitting tightly into the 1 1'4 receiver. Something to tighten the fit will probably be necessary.

Reunites Jeep + Thule
When I traded my Jeep Compass for a Jeep Renegade I went from a 1-1/4" to a 2" receiver. My Thule bike rack, however, requires a 1-1/4" receiver, and along the way I managed to lose the 2" to 1-1/4" Thule receiver adapter. I am pleased to report that THIS adapter fits both well, meaning my rack loaded with 2 bikes holds SECURELY and yields limited movement with nary a rattle.

Does what it was designed to do.
Works well enough. It was a bit sloppy in my truck's receiver when I used it to mount my wife's bike carrier. Used a clamping device (also sold by Amazon) to tighten it all up. Not really the fault of this insert. There has to be some slack so it can be easily inserted and removed. Would buy again.

This extension fits my needs perfectly. It pushes my bike rack out enough that now I can insert my bike rack in the hitch w/o it hitting the spare time. I did have to take everything to a welder to have him run a bead along both side of the extension to tighten up the fit so it wouldn't rattle. Next time I'd look for a system that has a bolt that will allow me to tighten everything.

Works like it's supposed to
Works like it's supposed to. If you are using this for a bike rack the rack is really going to wobble, because you now have two areas of "slop". I had to use two cargo straps to tie the top of the rack to lugs in the bed of the pickup truck. Very secure now.

Loose fit, but it works.
It works, but I have to use ropes to my roof racks to steady it, due to the loose fit. It's nerve wracking to watch it in my rear view mirror. I think the sloppy fit, banging back and forth, could elongate the holes in my hitch - not good. I'll have to find a solution or use something else.

Burs left on inside prevent proper fit
I only gave it three stars, because I had to do some filing of the small end inside edge to remove burs so my 1-1/4" bike rack would fit. You'll need a flat and rat-tail file.

Four Stars
Works for the application I purchased it for. Simplistic design.
