Agatha Christie's Miss Marple Collection [DVD] [2004]

I love old films and these are full of charm and style. Set in a time when horse and cart still was the main village transport. Crime still happened though, but Miss Marple was at hand to save the day. Brilliant.

Arrived on time good condition. Would buy again from this seller.

The box set of films from the 60s portray a seemingly much missed gentler time and way of life. The films are great entertainment and a joy to watch.Well done Amazon for making this set available.

Fabulous takes on Agatha Christie stories, Margaret Rutherford is superb as Miss Marple

I like old movies and knew what to expect when watching a Margaret Rutherford film. Also I got the movies through my letterbox less than 24 hours after I ordered which is very good service!

In my view Margaret Rutherford is the 1&only miss Marple l, so entertaining & without all the blood & gore of the modern who done its, I really enjoyed re watching the old sleuth, thoroughly entertaining now, as it originally was, I'll continue to watch them, over & over.

These are just wonderful. I have had then for years but purchased these for a friend and they adore them.Margaret Rutherford is a wonderful actress and the black and white films very atmospheric. Brilliant for a rainy Sunday afternoon!

For me, Ms. Rutherford will always be THE Miss Marple. For films so old, the transfers are first-rate.

I love everything Agatha Christie and just had to have these to add to my collection.

Purists always tend to dismiss these 4 Miss Marple adaptations. I however treasure them for the presence of Margaret Rutherford one of the greatest British character actors of the 20th century. Her eccentric portrayal is one of the many she added to her CV along with Madame Arcati(Blithe Spirit) and her Oscar-winning turn as The Duchess of Brighton in The VIPS. Couple that with Australia's greatest character actor Charles "Bud" Tingwell in support as well and you have 4 delightful entertainments in anyone's book.

Die englische Originalfassung gefällt mir sehr gut. Die Qualität der 4 DVDs ist auch sehr gut.Es ist immer wieder ein Erlebnis, Miss Marple anzuschauen, sie verkörpert nicht nur die etwas "schrullige Laiendetektivin, sondern auch ein Stück"Good old England".Für alle, die Spannung,Humor und die engl. Mentalität und Lebensweise mögen, ist dieses Viererset von Miss Marple DVDs ein absolutes "MUST"Lieferung erfolgte auch in etwa im Rahmen der angegebenen Zeit. Die Ware kam gut verpackt und eingeschweisst an. Also Alles o.k.

A mes yeux, Margaret RUTHERFORD reste la meilleure interprète du personnage de Miss Marple d'Agatha CHRISTIE. J'en ai vu trois autres et elles ne lui arrivent pas à la cheville. Je sais que les héritiers lui prefèrent d'autres actrices estimant même que Margaret RUTHERFORD n'est pas le personnage. C'est le contraire et ce coffret de quatre films rend justice à cette grande actrice britannique.
