Theramit Ladies Soothing Microwaveable Mitt for Arthritic Hand Pain Relief

I bought this for someone who had had a stroke and had been receiving hot wax therapy on their hand and wrist. The hot wax therapy had finished and I was looking for a replacement therapy. After reading the reviews I decided to give it a try rather than invest in a hot wax basin. The result was very good. Although the relaxing effect didn’t last as long as the hot wax , it did give relief from stiff joints and loosened the hand enough to excercise. I would recommend this mitt to anyone suffering from hand joint problems, it is easy to use and not as expensive or time consuming as hot wax therapy.

I purchased this on recommendation from my occupational thearpist as I recently had an accident and am undergoing treatment on my wrist which was badly broken. I use the theramit in conjunction with a wax spa to maintain the heat in the wax and because it is roomy, I can also do my exercises in the mit. It heats up very quickly amnd retains the heat well, but please follow the warming instructions carefully, the first time I used it I and overheated the mit by about 20 seconds and it was then too hot to use. I have also found that it helps to turn the it round and shake it about whilst it is in use to re-distribute the heat. I would have benefited from it being a little bit longer as I am treating my wrist rather than my hand, but all in all I am very pleased with the theramit and would recommend it.

Wife has painful rheumatism on thumb/index finger of right hand and is receiving NHS physiotherapy, including wax baths. We have our own wax bath, but came across this item accidentally and, at the price, decided to try it. So easy to use! Our wax bath takes about 6 hours to get up to temperature and even then is a PITA, whereas wife puts this is the microwave for 1min 20 at full power then sits with her hand in it doing recommended excercises, gives her time with far less pain and is so easy to use. NHS physio commented that they have them as well!

I have a problem with arthritic fingers and my whole hand gets very cold, and this is perfect. One minute in the microwave and it's bliss. I mentioned it to my physios (yes, plural, it's complicated) and they thought it was excellent and will recommend to patients.

This is so simple but very effective, screams quality from the packaging to the product. My hand is a size 6.5 glove size and this Red glove is a perfect fit and encompasses my wrist. There is a comprehensive easy to follow exercise card included.

I have quite long fingers but to get my wrist covered, which is what I needed, I had to curl my fingers. Needs to be longer. Used this post break of wrist and fingers didn't really go into a fist anymore.

Bought this for my husband to use when he doesn't have time to use his hand wax bath. He has found it very useful as it is quick to heat up, great for a cold winters morning. The positive effects don't last as long as the wax baths but they reduce the pain in his hands so he can actually move his fingers freely with much less pain, after using, he can actually fasten his shirt sleeve buttons himself which is great as having to ask for help embarrasses , he is only 49 and obviously independence means a great deal to him and this mitt helps him achieve this. He himself has given this four stars as he believes it is well made and 'does a good job'. Anything which helps to lessen some ones pain and maintains their independence has got to be good.

I am IT professional, and need to work a lot with my laptop. In the last couple of years, I started to feel pain in my figure joints. So far, I had used it couple of times only (whenever I feel some significant pain), and it looks good & decreased the pain. May be I should use it more frequently. I definitely recommend it to everyone. It is cheaper than going through the treatment.
