Lovely book for little children.

My daughter has 4 of these and absolutely loves them. As written in another review, they’re an easy, no mess way of keeping little ones entertained from much younger than the recommended 3+ age. Lovely, bright illustrations, can be used over and over again, taken with you on journeys/holidays. Great gift for little ones.

Great fun, everyone wanted a go at painting a picture. Just use the water pen and the colours show through and in an hour or so, it dries to use again.One word of warning though. I don't know if it was my son or my overenthusiastic nieces and nephews but where someone had scribbled maybe a little too hard, or where the water took too long to dry, the paper has worn away in places throughout the book showing the colours through.No one used the pen too hard as far as I could tell but it was used a few times throughout the day. By Boxing day, the magic is gone. Not durable - but great fun while it lasted! I'm thinking about ordering another one.

The pens for this is better use for smaller kids as you can’t squeeze them like the paw patrol and Barbie ones. You can however see the images on the plain white paper before water is added. It seems less about colouring in the lines with this book and more about exploring around. My niece loves it though and now there’s not pen stains all over the couch so a win is a win.

My 3y old absolutely loves it, mess free the only downside is that you regularly need to refill but we love it.

Having read reviews that said the pen ruined the book, I threw the pen away and instead gave my son a paintbrush and cup of water to use with this book. Although not really as convenient to always have a cup of water nearby (or have to mop it up every time he knocked it over), it suited us fine. He absolutely loved 'painting' and it was great to have a low mess activity to keep him entertained on holiday. My only regret is not having bought it sooner, as I think it would be great for younger kids too (he's 2).

She's four years old and likes drawing in general...but when she started drawing with this her eyes absolutely shone with pleasure at the "miracle" of the colours appearing out of nowhere as she drew!She was so proud of the vibrant images she'd done, she couldn't wait to show them to her parents---unfortunately the colours disappear about 10 minutes after the surface dries...but this allows for them to be done again and again, which for a child this age seems to be a pleasure in itself...Thank you to whoever is making these!
