I bought this costume for a fancy dress party. I was expecting it to look a bit flimsy and cheap, as I purchased it for less than £20, including postage. However, it was very well made. The material had a nice, velvety texture.I am a size 10 to 12, so I opted for the medium. It was a good fit, not too tight and not too roomy, but unfortunately it was exceptionally long. I am 5' 5" tall and I had to take a few inches off the length, and even then, the dress still covered my ankles. I suppose a smaller size may have been shorter in length but it would have been too tight.If you are handy with a needle and thread or you don't mind paying to have a few inches taken off the length, it is a great buy when it sells for around £20, especially if you would use it again.

The dress is nice but not exactly as on the picture as the colour of the veil material on the chest is red and not light brown as on the picture , the hook on the one of the sleeves has already got burst and it doesn't go over my finger but I will use the needle to fix it. The head piece looks completely ridiculous when on , and not like on the picture so I will have to buy something else instead but the dress overall is quite nice and looks good and not so cheap, but definitely not worth of £45 , I paid only £19 and that's about what it costs, no more. Arrived just in time, once ironed it was fabulous, I loved it, thrilled with the dress and the headpiece is fabulous, my figure is a bit fuller than the models but it fit perfectly, I had underskirts which filled out the skirt but even without it it looked good, order it in time as the skirt is long (I'm 5ft 8) I needed to wear heels with it. Otherwise I was delighted with it

Perfect sizing.I am UK 8 - and this fits my waist amazingly!My bum looks pretty peachy in it too! ( I know not very tudorish.. but hey )Every little helps ... ;-P

I didn't think this was worth the money, the zip at the back wasn't flat but really bumpy, the gold fabric isn't really gold but more yellow and the veil on the headdress is pink so does not match, sent it back and got a much better one for less money.

I ordered this for a medieval fancy dress ball. It is very well made for the price. The material has some stretch so is comfy to wear, and the crushed velvet adds a certain amount of luxury!

Wore this to Venice carnival and it went down a storm. I agree that it is long but as someone of 5ft 11in I loved that fact!. For the price the quality was v good. Didn't get on with the finger loops though but they aren't a necessity.

Fabulous. I am a size 12 and the medium was a perfect fit. The front lace was not quite central but all in all good value for money. I purchased for a medieval banquet and it was perfect.
