Great service from Heating Parts warehouse and terrific product with just the right tank size of 10L. Love it.
well just recd email from Heating parts warehouse asking how their service was and did I like the product. I obviously forgot the review. Ord 7/5 rec'd 9/5 so WOW and nicely packed.I came to the decision that where possible I would directly heat water rather than use the boiler to fill up a hot water tank with water I may or may not need before it needs heating again. With oil prices now hitting 40ppl from 30ppl in May smart move. So with showers and wash hand basins sorted I picked up this and haven't regretted it a bit. I seem to recall exchanging emails in May with the manuf but figured out the problem from previous work done on the hand basin water heaters, specifically from the manuf instructions accompanying the devices. From memory you need to run this from the cold water up pipe, not from the down pipe coming from the cold water tank, just not enough pressure. Talking of which my water pressure here is 2.5 bar.So great service, great product and every time I use it I think of the money I'm saving with a really dumb smug grin. 40ppl for oil, back to the good old days of 50ppl next. MikeUpdate 28/12/2017. Still going great, terrific device absolutely no problems. Heats up in the time it takes to make a cup of tea (remember to turn it off when not needed) and with oil somewhere around 50/60 ppl an even better buy if your heating your hot water tank by oil. Oh yes the insulation is also terrific. Heat the water in the morning and it's still slightly warm in the afternoon.Mike

A really useful and inexpensive water heater
I bought this to use as a temporary water heater when my boiler packed up and it worked much better than I could have hoped for. It is now plumbed in to use again if required. It would make a really good under sink heater for permanent use but does not deliver enough hot water for a shower. It is essential to follow the installation instructions and the clear plastic vent tube supplied was of poor quality and I had to buy a better one, not expensive though!

Works well and reasonable value.
I bought this to supply water to the kitchen sink while I rebuild the main heating system, but I will probably leave it there as it is very economical in operation and saves water, as the tap now runs hot almost immediately. It is supplied with electricity via a Meross Smartplug, which turns on via IFTTT when electricity from Agile Octopus is cheap or free, and turns off at 7 pm, after which time it contains enough hot water for the rest of the evening. It is clearly quite well insulated, as there is hardly any perceptible temperature rise on the outside of the unit. I have developed economical habits of water and energy use over the years, and this device supplies quite enough hot water for my everyday needs. The 5 litre version would probably have been sufficient.

Neat and compact - but...!
The simple shape and compact dimensions are very good, along with a large and easy to read, and set, Temperature control. My enthusiasm began to wane slightly when I read the description on the box which said the tank was GLASS LINED. Amazon's description reads - 'Exclusive dry powder porcelain enamel tank lining delivering twice the corrosion resistance of ordinary glass lining'. So have I been misled, or cheated?A second feature which is not so good is the access to the heating element, which is through the bottom of the unit. This means that the whole unit must be removed from under the sink for any form of service/descaling, with the attendant dribble from water connections inside the sink cupboard. Furthermore as the unit must be lifted upwards off its mounting the pipework to it must be flexible and the freely available braided hoses do not have a sufficiently high temperature rating at 70°C. I have used two copper convoluted pipes which allow limited flexibility but poor fatigue life if bent a few times.I just wish I had done further research to find a water heater that is serviceable from the front.

Plumber Said It Is Good Quality And Easy To Fit
This looks super easy to install but as it was going to be installed in my wife's hair salon in the canteen I thought it best to use a qualified plumber. The plumber asked me to get the Ariston Water Heater Expansion Vessel Kit A with it and also the Tundish Kit C both available on Amazon. The plumber did a very neat job, he handed me back the Tundish Valve saying he didn't need it. This was one of the first under sink heaters he has fitted not requiring one. He had very positive words to say about this unit and said it is one he would recommend to customers in the future, both quality wise and ease of fitting. The unit comes with a pressure relief valve, the plumber installed this in the pipe work under the sink and with some extra pipe he connected it straight into the water waste pipe. The unit itself warms up in minutes, we have the heat dial set at half way and it's just too hot to put your hand under. Power wise you simply plug this into a wall socket but.. It doesn't come with a plug so you'll need to get a 13 amp plug and maybe an extension lead as the fitted cable is only a meter long.I hope you found my review helpful, I try to write honest reviews based on my expectations, if you found this review helpful in helping you make a decision on this item please do let me know.

Excellent product
Delivery was ok. Easy to plumb in, and works very well, quick to warm up. Excellent. It has been a few months now since I plumbed in the heater. I am very impressed it runs two sinks and a thermostatic shower, which gives plenty of hot water for my needs. The pressure on the shower is good and the hot water lasts long enough at 38 degree's for a quick reasonable shower before starting to cool. would recommend.

Very good but was a little complicated to install
Very good but was a little complicated to install. works very well though, very hot water, simply that when I bought it it appeared I would have to have an expansion vessel which I purchased and when the plumber came to fit it told me it didn't need it so I ended up wasting money on the expansion tank. But the unti itself is very good I have to say.
