I took a leap of faith and ordered two of these crates for my young dogs. I'm not especially handy, but the assembly was easy. These crates hold my two shetland sheepdogs securely. If you use the double doors, you need to use the latch provided at the top to secure it when the dog is in the crate. I don't see how a double door system could be engineered any other way so I find this to be very secure for my two medium highly energetic and powerhouse dogs. One pleasant surprise was the quality of the included mattresses. I expected cheapo mattresses to be included with the crates. I had the crate for exactly a week when my sheltie had a bout of diarrhea which never happened before while we were out for a few hours. We came home to a very smelly home and a very vocally unhappy dog. I can't explain how much was spread all over the crate and my dog. The poor thing! I thought the mattress would be toast. Amazingly enough, the mattress covered washed in the washer just fine. Just hang dry. The inner cushion was not compromised at all! Nothing leaked through. I was very impressed. Just to be on the safe side, I have started to put pee liners right under the cushion covers. Good practice for any bedding if it's possible. But rest assured, this is a quality dog bed included with crate. I have to admit, the price made me balk at first but I have limited space in my home for crates and wanted to make the space have dual purpose. This functionality, along with the sturdiness and quality have made the price worth it.

I've been researching these type of dog crates for some time now, and I finally settled on this one because it closely matches the furniture style we currently have, it came with a bed, and it had good reviews. I was hesitant to spend this much money on it, but I am so glad I did! This looks perfect in our living room, and our dog loves it!! He weighs roughly 30 lbs, and he fits very well in it and has plenty of room to move around and be comfortable. What exceeded my expectations is that we had a bit of trouble with the double doors. The bars on one side seemed to be a little warped and prevented the double doors from closing as they should, causing the latch to be in a little bit of a bind. I reached out to the customer service department on the paperwork, and they promptly shipped me a new set of doors and two more dog beds (which they used to help protect the doors in shipping)!! I honestly cannot rave enough about how perfect this has been for us. I'm so glad I spent the extra money to get something so nice! I'm a very happy customer!

This lovely wooden crate is my 8 lb Toller puppy's happy new home! He has plenty of room to grow (he will be about 40 lbs and the dimensions of this cage are somewhat taller than a standard Midwest Medium crate, making it the perfect size for a full grown Toller). More importantly, our puppy does not seem to mind being tethered or locked into this crate from time to time. It is heavy enough to keep him in place (without rattling) when he tugs on his tether and the pad is comfortable and has handled his playful gnawing and digging. In fact, this crate has been a big hit with all of our pets, even our elderly Dachshund and two cats have had to be shooed out of it. I love that it looks beautiful and does not look out of place in my great room. We use this crate mostly as our puppy's daytime home base (he has another bedtime crate in my daughter's bedroom). It was only mildly challenging to put together (it took two people to line up the metal pins with the predrilled holes in the wooden frame and the metal locking pieces- I suggest orienting the locking pieces into the correct direction as you slide them into the predrilled holes-this will make assembly much easier). In my opinion, this crate is well worth the effort.

We’ve had this crate for over 18 months and are still very pleased with it, as is our dog. She’s a medium size 33 lbs Miniature Golden-doodle. We keep it next to our bed and also use it as a night stand. It’s holding up very well.

This dog crate is beautiful and classy. We were using a play pen for our 16 lb Yorkie puppy, but I was tired of looking at it. This blends nicely with the cabinetry in our new house. I turned the double door side toward the wall and just use the end door, because I had read some reviews where the dog could push that open and It does seem like maybe there is a weak spot there. But when that side is against the wall, there is no reason for him to push on it. It comes with a tan mat that unzips for washing, but I replaced that with my dogs bed, because it looks like it might stain easily. My husband put this together in about a half hour. The double door latch catch was upside down (installed by the factory), but that was easy to un screw and flip over correctly.

My dog is not kept in a crate now that he out of the destroyer puppy stage (and was only in there while unattended for VERY short periods 1-2 hours at a time) but would not give his crate up. I thought the one I had was an eye sore so I tried this.. WAY nicer looking. It was easy to put together and so much nicer looking than I thought.. I put this one next to his old one for a few days to let him adapt then switched this one to the place of the old one for a few more days (while keeping his old crate next to the new) and put his blankets with the new one.. he adapted perfectly.. GREAT FIND! I am very happy thank you

I absolutely love this Dog crate. It goes so well with all my furniture and my puppy loves it. It was not hard at all to assemble. And the fact that it has the side door and double doors is so convenient.Update April 2020So I’ve had this dog crate for about a year now and not only does my dog love it still but i am still very satisfied with it. Obviously my pup has scratched it up a bit but they are dogs when bored they sometimes chew or scratch. Just put a toy in there and problem solved unless you have a poorly trained and just destructive dog than just get a metal one. This dog crate is still sturdy and I’ve gotten many compliments. It really just looks like an end table. Love love love it!
